You can't get a tstat on the island?

 

i have a brand new one sitting in my closet at home. 3 bucks and its yours. that should cover shipping lol.

 

I can pick one up and mail it to you but I would think you could get one just about anywhere. Let me know.

BTW, since I'm driving around without a Tstat; I'll be starting a thread asking about pros of cons on that particular subject.

 

Rafa - consider a "fail safe" tstat if you're replacing it. It'll fail open so it doesn't restrict the flow when it does fail. I know must of us watch our gauges, but if somebody else was driving the car it might save it from overheating. Just a thought.

 

What would you consider a "fail safe" tstat Rob?

Does anyone have a 1.6 coolant housing lying around? I can't find the one I had and I can't move the hose until I change that housing.
