Default Turbo and cast manifold

looking to buy a nice used turbo manifold combo for my first turbo miata. Preferably a begi or Flyin Miata cast manifold and a sr20 t25 turbo, but I am open to ideas. This is my first setup so I’ll be running stock ecu and stock injectors with an fmu so I’m not looking for insane power gains looking to get around +50 hp but when I move to a stand alone ecu and aftermarket injectors will benefit from that.

Buy a Megasquirt instead of the fmu and you can add 20 horsepower by eliminating the MAF, opening up the exhaust, and tuning the car.

Buy an fmu and you still have no control over timing and will have to retard your base timing to prevent detonation. Therefore you lose power everywhere. Plus, the stock ecu will be trying to pull fuel the fmu is adding by reducing pulse width. Ever heard of an O2 clamp?

But do whatever you want.

Megasquirt is the key to power on these cars. All the rest of the stuff, turbos and manifolds included, are just details. Any of it/ all of it will make power if you get the engine management piece right.
