Good morning all,

I am in the process of swapping out my auto trans in a 99 NB with an 04 MSM 6-speed....

The damn drive shaft was supposed to be "the same" but turns out that the splines don't match up at all.... ****!

Are there any members within driving distance of the DC metro area that wants to sell a driveshaft for cheap!? I am in a pickle since the car is my ride to PA for the obligatory Easter family visit. :(

certain year auto driveshafts are different than manual.
you need a manual shaft for 94-05 5spd or 6, it will all work.
i don't remember which year auto shafts work. obviously yours does not

 

Ben, I can say with 100% assurance that the 99 Automatic Driveshaft is not the same as the 04 MSM driveshaft. lol

Anyhow, I have ordered one from thepartsgroup.com and hope to have it on Monday. Still would not cry if someone wanted to loan me one for the duration...
