Default Wtb: 1.8 Lsd Unit Only

I was able to source a 1.8 Open carrier and I'm looking to drop an LSD into it. Looking for an OEM Torsen unit, or an RX7 7" drop-in, or aftermarket LSD.

Also need to source half-shafts.

Sold it, sorry. There is one on m.net classifieds with 3.9 gears for $600, quite a bargain. Should have held out for more $$$ I guess.

I acutally sourced a RX7 Clutch-type for $219 +$35 to ship.

now I just need the rear axle and seals.

No one bid on the driveshaft on ebay for $25, it ends tomorrow and I want to keep it at that low price thank you ver much.

For future reference the first gen (84-84) also had an clutch type lsd, which will work in the Miata 1.8 rear IF it's the large axle. I don't think most realize this, which keeps the price low at auction and salvage yards.

does that mean a solid axle...no half shafts, correct? That's exactly what I'm looking at.

Yes- the splines are the same: solid axle rx, independent rx and miata. That's what I picked up on ebay for $100. It MUST be large axle if it's first gen.- the problem is most sellers don't know.

ok good. That's what i figured just wanted to make sure.

So far I have the 1.8 assembly. Going to swap in the 84-85 RX7 Clutch-Type LSD. He's providing the circlips. Bidding on a driveshaft.

need seals and need the solid rear axle.

Will have extra 1.8 stub shafts leftover. and Open Meatball.

by "solid axle" I thought you were referring to the first gen rx7 with a "live axle" rear end - no? or are you referring to the later "half shafts" that did NOT use a stub axle (one piece)? Probably the latter since you're saying you'll have leftover stubs.
