hmmm, little more than you are looking to spend, but I can get 7/8ths or 1" for the miata locally for 100 bucks even.
Actually, I can get 100 bucks for any bar, any car if they make it. Not sure if they ship, we just picked our bars up.

Or if you can find a set of adjustable endlinks, a 99 sport front bar is 7/8ths IIRC.
