No experience with miata set ups, but I've always found most high $$ set up's fall short of expectations. I don't think many of the companies realize we drive on real roads with bumps and pot holes.
However, I have always had good luck with Bilstein shocks and decent set of springs. Being able to get custom valved Bilsteins with good springs must be a really nice set up. |
I drove my car with the Flex to work today. It is noticably less comfortable than before. Not too horrible, but the SS were straight up pleasant.

I love my flex's on the street. I am switching over the a 12/8 Monoflex that I will still drive on the street. That will not be so comfortable.

Did you verify how far bumpstop touch is at rest? |
Full soft rear, I think 2 clicks from soft in the front.
I set them up per your guidelines. They're not real bad, they're also just not real comfy. At full soft, they feel considerably stiffer than the SS at their full stiff setting. |
Talked to Shaikh earlier...definitely convinced the Billie revalves for my specific rate range are the way to go. Just gotta wait on direct deposit for paycheck.

Where are you finding these deals on tein SS's? Ive been looking frantically trying to find a lead on them, but seriously cannot find a used set.

My problem is I always see deals, but have blown my load before they come around. This time I just kept selling other parts and raising funds, saving, and barely had it to jump on a deal. If I hadn't seen that deal that day, or had happened to have another $100 in my PayPal, I would ordered FCM revalves already. |
