WTB Garret GT2554 - Or equivalent
Done with chinachargers and their shenanigans. Ready to try something better. I'm looking to stay sub 230whp, so a turbo around the same size as a GT2554 is what I'm looking for.

You need a journal bearing SR20 t25.
Buy for around $200, rebuild for under $100...win. |
For 200$ you should buy an immaculate t25. So I reckon 80$ is for a rebuildable unit.

Where does one find one of these? I tried zilvia and couldn't find anything.

Facebook is where it's at. Use the search engine and some sr20 FS groups.

Lol no you're not.
Standard SR20 is a 56mm compressor wheel. Yours was machined to accept a 60mm wheel, plus the compressor was machined to accept a slip on coupling on the exit, and the wastegate was welded shut to allow external wastegate use. You better recognize. |

Are you still looking? I have a very low mileage 2554 off of a speed protege, it was removed under warranty due to a sticky wastegate flap, but I don't think it would be a big issue when clocked for a miata. It would need a new actuator bracket and the wastegate flap modified (bent) to work in the clocking that miatas typically use, but it is otherwise in great shape. I've been holding onto it for a while but I doubt I will ever use it.
PM me if you are interested - I'd probably let it go for a little less than what a typical used 2554 goes for. |
