New top on existing frame. It really isn't that hard. Most people spend too much time figuring out how to do it as they go along instead of doing it. I just put the air ratchet to work and start taking it apart as quickly as I can. Zip, zip, zip with the 10mm. Don't stare at it, start loosening things up.

I own zero power tools

I went zipperless because I didn't like the idea of a water proof product have unnecessary points of potential leakage. I went with out glass because my top is down 90% of the time so I didn't see the point of a better window that is essentially never used. Think I got the "streamline" top.

That's why they make more than one type, different strokes for different folks.

Oh and semi related my Aunt and Uncle own a NC boat Miata and I was showing them my NA about a month after I stalling the new top.

"Well dang, your top looks like it's in better shape than ours."

"It better be... It's brand new."

"... I thought yours was over 20 years old?"

Lol

The zipper is really nice in the summer when you want some shade but still want a good breeze blowing through. I don’t know that zipperless is any more water tight, unless it’s raining sideways.

I just blast AC if I'm not rolling. I can see the appeal of that though. I also read somewhere that the best you can do aerodynamically with the windows down is to also have the rear unzipped...
