just looking for a used miata engine because the one that was in my car had a spun rod bearing and is currently being rebuilt. Located in Southern Ohio and am willing to drive a decent amount to pick up.

Just pick up any 1.8 bottom end and use your '99 head. Your compression might be lower if you get one from an NA, but that's a good thing if you are turbo'ed.

Might be someone on the forum that has what you are looking for. At different times, I have had a couple sitting around, but sold them or gave them away.

 

I'll have to look around on the forum, every where else online just sells full engines for like 1,700. Like come on in just want a bottom end

 

I just googled Japanese Auto Parts and got dozens of hits in Toronto. My buddy picked up a 1.8 NA a couple of years ago from a Toronto location for $800Cdn with a tranny and they had a crap load just lying around.
