Dealing with BEGi....
So after seeing varying results on dealing with BEGi, I decided to give them a go. I was in the market for a new turbine housing and trying to deal with a local big name shop that said they could get one "no problem". Well, they did nothing for me and wasted nearly a month of my time. I had planned on sending the housing to BEGi from the beginning to get it ported but I also decided to give Steph a call and see if they could sell me a housing. The problem with this part is that it's not a part the Garrett will just sell to anyone. Sure I could have gotten one from ATP, but it might not be a genuine Garrett housing...and I was trying to give my business to a local shop....and then decided try to give BEGi my money. Steph was able to get me a Garrett housing, without the divider wall (I have a FM elbow with the wall built-in), have it ported and drill out the stud holes for 10mm studs. All of this took a week. I should have called BEGi from the get-go..I really should have. Steph was on the ball will staying in touch, calling me back (something the local shop never did even after repeated promises) and kept me updated. I got the housing on time, installed it and it fixed my boost creep issue. I will definitely keep them in mind for future purchases from now on.
Thanks Stephanie!!!

They do take that extra step with customer service. I had foot surgery last December and could not drive my car for 2 months. Before that I had ordered a bracket for a Garret actuator. Stephanie drove in her truck with a car trailer and picked up my car. I also ordered a 3" Enthuza muffler and they installed it for me without even telling or asking them. Before the week ends she delivered my car.

I base that on the fact that when I called my local Garrett authorized retailer, they told me that there is no part # for the exhaust housing and that it's not sold seperately. The "local shop" that I tried buying one from also confirmed this as well as BEGi. So I suspect that the ones being sold via ATP aren't actual Garrett products but come from a foundry elsewhere as they probably have a good contract with as ATP offers TONS of various A/R and configurations on housings. I doubt it would be easy to get such information from ATP nor do I think they sell a lesser-quality housing, but I couldn't comfirm if the .64 a/r hotside housing I neede came with or without the divider wall.

Here is the scoop on ATP and turbo housings: Technically, the turbine housing is not supposed to be sold separately. And no, it does not have a "Garrett" part number. I order it by the description. But since ATP offers many different turbine housings, they do have spares and odd parts laying around. They are one of the few Garrett distributors that will allow you to customize the compressor and turbine housings on the turbo. ATP does offer many of it's own housings, however, yours is a Garrett housing and it was purchased thru ATP. I honestly do not know if ATP sells these spare turbine housings to the public, but they do take care of us. Quite well. I promise it is a genuine Garrett housing (even though it is from ATP), we just ported it and drilled the stud holes here. Whether you buy something from us or ATP, the price is the same.
Did it help with the boost creep?
Thanks!
Stephanie

Back in the day I walked into ATP with a .86 housing and walked out with a .64 housing in a straight trade. They were not 100% comfortable doing this but it was hugely appreciated.

Stephanie- Help? No. Eliminate? Yes..all boost issues are gone, target boost is flat as can be and the car feels great. Thank you.
I suspected that ATP sells the typical Garrett housings, but they also have their own custom ones that aren't Garrett. Either way, I'm happy now.
