Some lovely bits arrived today.. Just for the record Abe from ARtech was an absolute gem to deal with.. answered every question that i pestered him with and most importantly fabbed me a serious exhaust :-)
I also gave my Intercoolers a dust of black
And put in a bov outlet

Bit of progress but there some small teething problems.. think the project will have to go on hold for a while due to lack of motivation and money.. still to buy injectors but they can wait.. once I get the megasquirt iin im nearly there

for any man woman or child thats interested heres and update...all boost pipes are on and fitted, the iat sensor and bov are pretty much on, the MS is fitted and base map loaded (how do i double check this?) so im hoping the have it running tomorrow.. actuator and boost solenoid arent in the car yet but im gonna run the flapper open for a while.. get the feel of the tuning and make sure everything is working
i just hope my next update doent have the word ''explosion'' in it

after much messing with diff and so on i finally got the car onto its wheels again. ive wired the waste gate open for now so it wont build any boost as it isnt mapped. i might attempt to map it myself but i dont think ill be able to.. for now heres a small video of the exhaust.. i wasnt revving it much but you get the idea
just click on the picture and itll link the video. ill get pics of the interior when i have it back together fully.. and then some more videos

I've been following this as well. Just because we don't have anything significant enough to offer a post doesn't mean we don't pay attention to your updates. I try not to clutter up people's build threads with empty posts.
We enjoy pictures of how others are doing their builds because everyone does things a little bit differently. I pick up better ideas to incorporate into my build quite often.

i want to start tuning it soon.. my only problem is there is no one within 300 miles that knows how to tune mega squirt.. it just isn't the done thing in Ireland.. So i'm worried ill blow my engine up! I've read in the manuals that all you have to change is the Fuel and ignition tables?
i want to start at 5psi to get the feel for it as thats as low as the waste gate is supposed to work at. i still havent bought injectors, im running the standard blue tops. are they adequate for 5psi?

Start tuning with the wastegate arm disconnected so the flapper stays open initially. You will likely still see a couple of positive pounds at full throttle still.
Use the overboost protection feature of the MS to protect yourself from running out of fuel. Set it about a half psi above your intended max. If it starts cutting, back off the throttle a bit. You wouldn't want to spike to 6psi and blow it up due to going lean already. I don't think you'll have enough headroom to make but a couple of psi with stock 1.6 injectors.
Watch the duty cycle while you are driving. If it isn't already on your main gauge screen, put it there. 85% duty is effectively wide open all the time and should not be exceeded. Above that you will go lean quickly because the MS cannot add any more fuel.
Use the TunerStudio VE Analyze Live to autotune your fuel to your intended targets and get your unboosted cells functioning properly. Wait to tune the boosted cells after you get the normal ones dialed in. It will make life easier. And it will tell you if you are already in danger of running out of fuel when approaching boost.
What base map are you using? Can you take a screen shot of your target afr map and your ignition map and post them here?

Am i correct in thinking that the ve analyze is the add on for tuner studio? I still have to buy it.. Ill try what you say with the open flapper and see does it build boost. Im using the diyautotune base map that came with the ecu. I can post the tables tomorrow on my laptop when i get to work maybe you can point out where changes must be made.. (almost bed time here and im on my phone)

Here are the tables sixshooter.. they are the tables i got with the basemap in the ecu.. i drove the car yesterday and noticed the AFR gauge never went lean. i have a video ill post it and i can do a data log tonight.

Wait! Your AFR target table is garbage! It doesn't even have positive manifold pressure (boost) targets (numbers above 101kpa)!
Yes, you need to buy the add on for TunerStudio to autotune fuel but it will only be as good as the target AFR table.
I assume you must have been seeing some boost in the videos but I don't know how much. Do you know? I was seeing some high 12.x numbers in second and third gear and that might not be great depending upon how much pressure you were seeing.
For the AFR targets you will need to change the scaling of the matrix by clicking on the grey boxes on the side and across the bottom one at a time and entering the new values. Then you can enter each of the targets manually as well. If the table I give you has less cells than yours (since mine is a lowly MS1), then add a line or column in between my values and interpolate the difference in between.
Are you using your laptop while driving to determine if your duty cycle under load is getting above 85%? How about using it to datalog an acceleration run in TunerStudio, then posting a screen capture of the important bits?

im going up to my shed now to drive it with my laptop. i can datalog and post the log here.
ill change the afr table and put on my boost protection before i drive again. I also have to refit my boost gauge as it isnt working.. ill have that working before i drive also.
my table looks slightly different to yours but i see what you want me to do. itll post back in a few hours
