Also looks like you're making some decent power with it (I'd guess somewhere in the 240-260 range)
You motivated me to sort it out! Once i changed my oil and coolant i took degreaser and a pressure washer to it.

Ya it's getting a bit better. first and second gear are pretty insane after 4k. i have a boost leak somewhere i'm certain of it. ill get some delron and make a leak tester.

Next job is uprate the injectors. 400$ is a lot of money but it's gonna be worth it. hope to order them on Friday

After that its rods and oem rings. full gasket kit (OEM) and ACL bearings.

Aim is safe 250whp tune which i think is realistic for a daily.

make sure you get ID or FIC injectors only. trust me, they are the best.
you can probably hit up Bryan @ FAB9 for a good deal on either.

Lift the WG actuator rod off of the arm and make sure the flapper is completely seated if you haven't already. It's ok to have a little preload on the actuator rod when it goes over the flapper arm stud.

Are you asking about supertech rings on stock pistons or supertech pistons in a stock bore diameter?

Why wouldn't you buy forged pistons as well? You get the benefit of lower compression which gives you more headroom against detonation on pump gas.

And the pistons are stronger.

Earlier on in the week i got a pretty good deal on a walbro 255 so i took it. I put in into the car today

I read that some people have had issues with the 255 causing rich idle and cruise. All seems well so far! Ill probably invest in an adjustable fpr as a precaution.

I picked up my cops yesterday as well and im waiting on the laser cut plate to fit them. I also need a loom off a yaris or avensis or some other toyota.

Anyway. I thought the "missfire" was down to the fuel pump letting go, but the issue is still there.

Anyone have any thoughts on it? The log is in a few posts back and its still happening..

I thought it was the boost cut but Its not boost cut i know that

Spark plugs need to be gapped to .028 inches?

Weak ignition coil?

Dirty fuel injector?

Burned (or slightly bent) valve in the head? Do a compression test for this one.

But would any of these cause the injector to close like that? Would you see it in the log unless the ecu is telling it to do that?

I thought we were trying to diagnose a missfire. I haven't seen a log.

Are you seeing a DC drop, RPM drop, Inj PW drop, everything drop, or what?

The log is in post 256 and its the same issue as in that log. The pw and duty cycle dip sharply.

What i've done to try and diagnose it is copy my ignition and fuel tables into a totally new msq. Ill run a log on the way to work and post it here.

This has some odd things in it I don't understand. Maybe a MS guru will stop in and take a look.

I really can't figure it out.

So far i've copied my fuel and spark tables into a fresh msq to see if it was any other setting that i changed by mistake. no difference at all.

I've attached a new log from today. one log was a pull in 3rd gear and the other log is a pull in 3rd plus a shift into 4th and 5th.

The tune file is also attached.
