On pump gas, with no meth, if you want a HONEST 300-320 like me why not just replicate my setup? td06 20g 8cm of your choice or td06 18g 8cm of your choice. 750-1000 injectors. the rest you already have. You can even push yours harder if you want since you have way better gas than our **** CA 91 and probably get 330-340.
on pump gas a 16g or hta68 is better suited for the 2L's
I used to run a deadbolt 20G on my legacy and replaced it with the fp hta68. I get the same power and way better spool. I don't have a dyno plot, but if you're familiar with "airboy spreadsheet", I'm putting down over 320whp uncorrected at 5200' on my LGT. Granted, I am running washer fluid, instead of just 91 craptane. But, I bet 93 at a "normal" altitude will still net 320whp with way better spool than a 20G.

I'm familiar with the airboy spreadhseet.
I have tuned hta68s and 20g's back to back. I have airboy/vd plots of both. I'll try to dig them up when I have some spare time.
The power/torque under the curve was very similar, with the 20g holding power better up top. Again, this is with cali pump gas no water/meth and no e85. Not exceeding 20psi either. The hta really isn't efficient under 20psi. It likes 24-27 where it really starts to shine. On regular pump gas its hard to push it that high. Also the 7cm housing it comes with is terrible on a 2.5. You need at least 8cm or 10cm. And thats another 300 on top of the 1100 or whatever that the turbo now costs (I think they went up in price recently). So you basically get a vf turbo's performance when you paid for a 20g, unless you go e85 or water/meth and really lean on the turbo.

I like hta68 but not on pump gas and not on 2.5's.

if you do want to go hta68 though, here's a great deal on one:
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2303056

that's the best price ive seen on a super low mile one with 8cm backhousing

For the record, a 68HTA is a 20G with a billet wheel and a small turbine housing. I have absolutely no turbo sizing on Subaru stuff, but they're magic on DSMs.

That's a great deal, but it's probably STi fitment. Fae may need LGT fitment unless he has a FMIC or plans on putting one in.

I don't think I will spin that much except at the top of 1-2-3 gears. And after each flat shift. Your buddy prob ran crap tires and I have been mighty impress with these RS3.

I will however launch like a big -----. My "new" mazdaspeed trans shifts nicely and my diff is still intact and I would like to keep them that way. 3s 60 ft time.

WTF is up with all the stupid "brand name" subie turbos. I know there is a significant quantity of morons in the subie community but damn it still surprises me sometimes.

Washer fluid can make a big difference. I ran it for a few thousand miles and it helped me run uh 8psi more or something silly. What are you using to control your water injection?

Yes trap will tell me my real HP and that is why I want to go to the drag strip.

1psi I have a great idea. Why not sell me your injectors and turbo and upgrade to your biggie turbo now? Just do it because I need that shi now. Serious.

Not sure I follow, or are you just ranting pointlessly?
Just like any car, there are brand name turbos and chinachargers, it just happens to be less knockoffs used in the subaru community due to people not wanting to take chances with their much more expensive (than a miata) cars.

As for idiots within the community, ELL OH ELL

Hey Fae, the Mustang Gt500 has welded exhaust tips; four in fact. Two are pre-muffler.

A big part of it is the run of the mill Garrett wasn't bolt on so when the desire for bigger stock location turbos became prevalent for Subies, Forced Performance came in and started mating their popular hybrid DSM compressors to available Subaru turbine housings.

Yeah that's true and I get that, just don't understand what he was even trying to say in that post. You can use whatever the f you want obviously, and many do, its just FP, Blouch, and a few others are dominating that market because they make great turbos that bolt right in and taylor all of em specifically for EJ motors needs.
Kinda like Absurdflow/artech/949/Trackspeed and a few others dominate the miata market because that's their main (and for most, only) market.
Nothing wrong with that.

Yeah, I should have answered his post directly as my post was just an add-on to yours, not really a correction.

So far this daily driver thing is working out. My car was juddering horribly because my ppf bolts were not tighter than harry potters anus and also i was missing the one rearmost bolt. I tightened them up and it made a big difference. Sean has assigned the NASA team to build me a badass PPF brace. I really want solid mounts everywhere. This engine and driveline movement is bullshi. The 4" exhaust and open dump is SO LOUD there is no NVH that can hurt.

this is what 30psi on a borg S366 with meth looks like. being daily driven.

Stop and go traffic :|

BTW I have been working on the meth tuning and yes the meth makes a shiload of power. The issue though is that I am not being able to run ALLOFIT for timing. I get det. I am currently opening my QSV pretty late- at 22psi. Since the QSV increases backpressure, I am wondering if that is affecting how much timing I can run. I am going to try to open it fully around 18psi instead and will try a solenoid vs. the MBC I have been using to regulate pressure.
