fired it up over the weekend. video doesn't do justice the new side pipes sound wicked.

had to run to Road Atlanta to get some work done and teach some safety classes.

Got a chance to get some wheel time in a classic.

Sunday night i had enough time to rough in the false floor.

she is on the ground. i'm about to put in a solid 4 hours getting the Tires to point in the same Direction. chop up the fenders to clear the headers, then take it for a spin.

Could you have kept up with the Porsche and Lamborghini that passed you if your car was dialed in and you had some seat time? Or are they just in a different class?

on the straights i could stay with them, the Porsche especially. That was a current super trofeo gt3 race car on brand new pirelli slicks. and i was on a year old set of rc-1 tires. Plus that all sorts of carbon fiber and down force #RaceCarDriverExcuses.. mines just a steel body miata with a big o motor. once we got to a braking zone they where gone.

Ah, I see. Were you conservative with the throttle? It didn't seem like you floored it but a few times.

you need to be gentle. It has a lot of power on tap. Even if you're not busting tires lose it can easily overheat the rears. Once they get hot it can take a lap to cool back down. easy throttle on, use the torque. back when i autocrossed my 1.6L i would "clutch it" coming out of corners. MX trick try to speed it up a little. lol
