Wow.

First week of Feb, I was doing test flights to Astoria while that cyclone was coming on shore. Just couldn't get the belts tight enough. What a rodeo.

Now look at it!

No that's fine. I pick up the car later then it's 2 hours of pita interior reassembly stuff.

Rick I thought you were a lawyer now? Was this reserves duty?

I have a law degree, and it comes in handy.

Started an avionics company almost 20 years ago. Genesys Aerosystems. I'm the tech guru, test pilot, head developer type. Get to do a fair amount of interesting flying all over the world. But people generally don't shoot at me anymore, which is a plus. My official title is VP of Technology, but I'm usually called a lot worse.

My Tire Castle received a shipment today. I traded my 205 used Rivals for 205 used Hoosier H20's. Win!
205 H20 on my 8" 6ULs.
225 Rc1 on my 9" 6ULs.

Edit: that is the flank of Lazarus in the first picture; greddygalant mounted these up for me.

I thought I'd posted pictures of my oil cooler install, but apparently I haven't.

1" angle aluminum for two cross pieces that attach to the radiator fan bosses.

2" angle aluminum that bolts to the two cross pieces, and form the frame that the oil cooler is bolted to. I removed most of the side blocking airflow.

On the bench:

We're about a week out right now at PRE. If you want to get tuned sooner than later i'd suggest doing dyno rental at PRE and letting Curly tune it to save a buck. Otherwise if Curly's not available, Erich tuned my MS3X FE3 with no issues so i'm sure he can do the same for you. How much longer till you're ready for the power tune? You can always go to ER later to do pulls for HP comparison.

We finally found a spot in ERs schedule. We're tuning on the 11th. For all of the comparibility. Laz, Richard, and an N/A 1.6 will be going.

1:30 I think? We have 3 hours. I think Martin's being tuned first, since he has to leave, then we're throwing Luke's car on for a 1/2 hour to fine tune his 101hp, then we're finally going to see what Richard's car will do. I feel like it'll put down 220hp right now, I have no what spark changes will up that to. It's a really weird feeling, cause his max power is at max rpm, so you only get a sense of max power for a second before shifting. I think we determined he's around 9psi at redline, which puts him at 18-19 degrees according to his ignition table. We also plan on 8,000 rpm, we'll see what that does to boost/power output.

Don't think that timing would work for me even if there was extra time. Damn it.

Dyno day tomorrow along with Lazarus.

Replaced my MAF today with a straight section of pipe. The MAF is 2.75"; Yank made me a lovely beaded section of pipe to replace it which turned out to be 2.5", but the silicone elbows clamped down fine. Thanks Yank!

Re-organized the tire trailer for #allthetires. Now that I'm MS3, I don't have to run 92 E0 only (the stock ecu+xede never liked 92E10), so I don't have to carry fuel. I'll fill up with 92E0 where it's available for track days, mainly PIR and ORP, but otherwise any 92 will do now. The dyno tune will be done on 92E10.

Guesses on numbers, post'em up! I'm going with 230whp/190wtq.
