I hear you, but I have the same number of extra connections in my line as you do (one) and you've got to secure that long hose anyway (that's what she said) so I don't really see the benefit. The coolant temp thing only matters on initial warmup, so I guess initial warmup times will be fractionally longer weigh a remote mount setup.
Iono. I do like those CNC housings.

All kidding aside, the first few features listed on 949's site for the M-tuned reroute setup is basically a list of downsides to the spacer+kia part+GM hose reroute.
System features
Allows use of EGR system - spacer setup does not
Fits any induction or ignition system - spacer setup does not

I bought my M-Tuned used, so suckit
Geez, calm down people. Since when do we get all wound up about friendly, good-natured ribbing? Reroute is reroute and better than stock no matter how you slice it. I like the CNC spacer, I thought it was pretty neat but I was already invested in another solution.
But seriously... isn't this thing supposed to start this weekend? Its like 10:30, you guys can't possibly be so drunk that you haven't made progress yet

Aannnnnnnnnd
My wife left with the kids, leaving me alone in the garage. SWEET! and all my distilled water.
Now that they are back, garage time is over.
So:
Oil is in
Coolant is half in
Vac lines all run
MS3 hooked up - can module hooked up - LC1 digital hooked up
Rear O2 removed and hole in tunnel plugged
Remaining:
a couple of settings from Rev
O2 bung in midpipe, LC1 won't reach header bung
Finish filling coolant.
Sunday is family time. Start has to wait until Monday.

Success - car has fired. After initial non-firing, we had to do some investigating. Best part was after having cranked the car for a good 15-20 seconds, Curly wanted to test the coils. So we tested the coils through MS - and
POOM
The dryer outlet hose I use to route the exhaust out of the garage, goes flying out of the garage. OK coils work!
Crank sensor had too much gap. After that was adjusted, and fixing a mapping problem between the MS3 and the injectors, car fired up.
TODO list:
figure out why LC1 digital serial is not being read (MS3 reads 7.5 regardless). I'll send an email to Rev tonight about things to check.
And then drive.
I have to give huge props to Curly here, none of this engine rebuild would have happened without him. Thanks Josh.
