My daily driver, and its slow progression.
As I purchased it. Has the typical rust on the front fenders and rear quarters, but the interior is mint and the drivetrain is solid. 96 1.8l.
Interior shot as purchased.
Then threw some new wheels and tires on it.
Polished it up as best I could...
Then today, I picked up some goodies including this lip and splitter.
Also some more goodies in the trunk. Not pictured is a turbo, RX7 Torsen LSD, AEM FI/C.
All I need now is injectors, manifold, wideband, and fab up intercooler piping/downpipe. I've been taking my time with it and I plan to continue going at a slow and steady pace. In my free time I will be doing things like mount the intercooler, install the fi/c and injectors and get it dialed in, install oil fittings and cap off, diff install, ect. Then once everything else is set we will install the turbo one weekend.
Also washed it today and decided to snap a photo with a real camera. Personally, I think the car is coming along nicely. It is a shame that the rust is as bad as it is. Luckily I purchased the car as a DD, and it is serving the role nicely delivering 30mpg consistently. Just needs a little more kick in the pants.
So that's where it stands.
