I wish they would make E85 accessible around me. There are two stations within 15 miles.... one is on a military base and not publicly accessible and the other is at some random station that I believe is only for commercial use or something. It would be nice to have the extra cushion especially when I go to the track.

That sucks. I'm moving to Norfolk in August and the E85 station there is also at a military base... but they made it publicly accessible! w00t.

Today, I was doing some mind street tuning - just cruise, idle control, etc not pulls or anything. My boost solenoid wiring fell apart somewhere - no power to the solenoid. So I turned off boost control. Well, today, driving, the power decided to come back.

...and then I accidentally 27.3psi

Except... I hit 25psi by 3500rpm

The point of the 27psi is that it was accidental.

This car is so badass. I keep trying to stop myself looking at this thread because it makes me wake up thinking I need more EFR in my life.

Thanks! I think it's a great street car

Changed AFR target to more E85-like targets (e.g. 12.2 in boost). Went to do some pulls/street tuning at 5am. Checked Virtual Dyno and it says I make exact same power as I did in October on virtually same settings.

Sounds good to me
Time to add a buttload more timing!

p.s. increasing target AFR from ~11.7 to ~12.2 lowered my duty cycle 3%. Aw yeah

Poor turbo...it wants to run at 25psi+.

Running it at 16psi must be such a tease for the turbo.

I wonder how mine will like it at ~8psi...

Also, I vote that your "low boost" setting be 18psi. For obvious reasons.

It wont, I'm on a 6psi wastegate with the ebc turned off and I still hit 10psi at peak power. And watch the orientation of the down pipe clamp if you use a non factory actuator mine was hitting and limiting throw.

fancypants intake and thick, Finnish air must be the reason

car still having issues with battery/alternator. It doesn't seem to keep it's charge when driving the car.
some facts:
- drain on the battery when car is off is 1.5mA which is pretty much nothing
- battery seems to be fine. its a 2 year old BOSCH AGM battery. Left it charging for 15 hours. Went from 11.08V to 12.85V, which is like 95-100% charged for an AGM battery.
- alternator - the voltage while running never gets above 13.6V or so
- I have been mostly driving at night with lights on

So what I think is that the alternator needs to be replaced?

Whats so awesome about the rx7 alt? Is it lighter? Please tell me its lighter. I was so tempted to take the angle grinder to the stock one the last time I had it out.
