So I decided to just run my ancient SR20 T25 for the time being. I eyeballed the turbos and the T25 turbine housing is a good 1-1.5" shorter than the EFR. So with a T25-to-v-band adapter, it should fit my current exhaust manifold and downpipe.
Then it's just a matter of assembing cold side IC piping with my le-old recirc BOV and all that crap. Should be easy.
No word from Himni yet... wasnt' able to reach them by phone, sent an email yesterday.

It took a few tries for me to get a hold of them when I ordered the turbo.

Got a response from Himni that they are forwarding my warranty request to technical department e.g. normal response in this case.
This bit is interesting, though
"Sometime in August" still holds. I'll be ecstatic if they don't push that estimate back.

Right now all EFR’s are on back order with Borg Warner till sometime in August but with you having to go through the warranty process time you should still fall somewhere into that time frame and the back order should not effect you much.

lol >_<
I don't think it'll be that bad.
I had my share of "it will be ready on _____". Waited 3 months for XIDA, still waiting for Trackspeed radiator. In this case it's something outside of Full Race/Himni power, not Bernie neglecting customers.

subject: Re: EFR6258 turbine wheel failure
Hello Lenny,
We contacted Borg Warner about your turbo and the turbine wheel disintegrating. Although we agree that it is a default in the Gamma-Ti turbine wheel, Borg Warner does not and after talking to them it is clear they are not going to cover it under the warranty. We disagreed with them on this conceding that the Gamma-Ti turbine wheel is what has been causing the delay of the EFR’s . They view the turbine wheel damage as impact related and not covered under warrantee. We are happy to still take the warranty steps if you still wish to try but can assure you they will not accept it.
As a seller we like to make it up to you the best we can and offer you a discount on a new EFR at our cost when they come in. We do feel that you might be better off looking into a Garrett GTX-R Dual BB turbo instead and will also offer you a discount on that too. We believe that you will be much happier with the GTX and will enjoy it for years to come.
Please let me know what you would like to do and I will be happy to help you and answer any questions that you may have.

I'd like to point out that I've driven over 500 miles since this turbine wheel failed - WITHOUT taking any of the turbo parts off. *IF* the failure was caused by a "foreign object", it would have to go through my engine as well.

peasant mode - activated
The ebay t25-to-vband adapter is, just as expected, a massive, steaming pile of ----. I feel like it was made in Russia. The holes are off, flanges warped. Looks like ----. But $45 shipped or so. Kind-of fits the v-band. Turbo studs are too long so ordered new ones. Also will need to enlarge holes in the adapter.
To-do:
- make a wastegate clip (lost it). I don't really need a wastegate on a SR20 T25 turbo...
- clock it to match the EFR
- wait for oil drain adapter to arrive so I can re-use my oil drain. Hopefully it fits length-wise.
- enlarge turbine holes for my 10mm studs and pray the TSE hardware fits
- enlarge adapter holes and bolt it down
- change my 1-piece hot-side intercooler piping to a ghetto setup with a BOV
