lol, sure, why not.
to be honest I will probably still have to wastegate as to not overspin the compressor wheel into pieces and ingest chunks of it.

also, ordered brakes and everything associated with it. baller brakes, are, apparently, expensive

Are you currently on 1.8 or stock 1.6 brakes?

Always leave a column to subtract any part out money I make from selling existing parts. Makes me feel better.

I'm currently on M-tuned corrado "brake kit" front and stock 1.8 rears.
I'm primarily buying these for the piece of mind. Piece of mind is valuable to me when it concerns brakes

Ok first - cross post from the "EFR why yo gotta be a bitch" thread

Got an email today. I emailed BW directly earlier and I guess that -or- this thread got around. I was asked not to post the whole email, so here's the cliff notes:

- BW doesn't deny claims like this.
- Himni never contacted BW and are not a BW partner/distributor. BW doesn't even know who they are, lol

What did I gather from this whole experience with Himni? If you want a "fresh to the market" turbo, buy it from authorized retailers. In this case, from Full Race.
Second... I'm thinking of getting an EFR6758. Thoughts? It has *exact* same form factor as 6258, but flows 5lb/min more.

vs

Spool shouldn't be affected, especially since I'll be rocking a VVT head eventually.

It looks less resistant to surge. How close did you used to get to the surge limit?

+1. Anytime I've ever been torn between 2 options I end up better off with the bigger/faster/lighter/more expensive one.

I'd stick with the current. you're talking the difference of a 440HP turbo vs a 480HP turbo. Yeah, the 6758 extra output range but it's not the ideal turbo for our motor, and the surge line will be iffy--It's the perfect turbo for high flow and low boost, like a v8.

Surge line you mean the top line, right? Like if at 16lb/min I would hit 260kpa (2.6 pressure ratio) it would surge (possibly, catastrophically)

surge is the left side of the efficiency map. but yeah that's the idea. especially considering how fast the 63 can spool.

what's the difference in the 6758 vs 6258 besides the compressor? what's the physical size difference in the compressor wheels, 62mm vs 67mm?

Dang, I'm totally in line for a 6758... maybe a vvt motor head flows enough better than the surge line is less of an issue? Hmm. I was really just going off the 'one better' theory too.
