i tuned to 195kPa this morning. it felt slow. imagine what it's going to feel like after driving in the Leonidator?

I'm assuming he's going to dial the boost back down for normal driving, and this is the numbers and hooning tune. It just feels wrong to leave spark advance on the table.

Yes pump 93. I also put in the Lucas Octane Booster for first time in my life (w/e, unicorn oil)

Shop records videos in 1080p man. Video won't be up right away but it will. I'll also ask the dyno operator to just wait till the limiter (I want FIREE!!!!)

Sure, let me go do some more 5th gear pulls to 120mph at 9:30 in the morning. I live in VA.

Every time I do a pull like that there is very serious risk of jail time. VIRGINIA.

I remember doing pulls in 4th on a deserted road and still being paranoid about getting arrested. My car was nowhere near as violent or fast as this beast.

I feel your pain. Had a friend get pulled over on 81 in VA doing 26 over. He got bent over badly.

Either way, this thing is sexy. Can't wait to see the dyno video.

first I thought that this is going to be just a hooning tune but I don't know now, it feels quite good. I might run a bit lower.

Anyways, timing is virtually same at 240-270kpa.

lol yeah.

On a completely unrelated note... VVT. I have a VVT head in my garage and plan on installing it.. eventually.

Right now I have 36-1 trigger wheel and a modified CAS on exhaust camshaft as cam position sensor. Since VVT control uses closed-loop, the cam sensor *must* be on the intake camshaft. This is a problem because the stock VVT camshaft sensor has the weird "2 teeth - 1 teeth" trigger pattern.

Possible solutions:
1) Grind off the double teeth off the VVT cam, making it into single-tooth cam. This is by far the easiest solution. Problem is that I'll be permanently modifying the cam. But it will 100% work.

2) Bug Megasquirt developers to create a custom trigger pattern. It should be easy because I think 99/00 has same camshaft signal.

So you're at 318hp, 291 ft/lbs? Impressive.

What I like even more is 150ft/lbs at 2500, and 200 at 3000rpms. Very nice indeed.

Nope, we are waiting on the actual numbers. I assume he is at or on his way to the dyno now.

318/291 were the old numbers on the 6258.
