The claim is that the switching done in the box for the heater puts noise on the power in line to the ECU and messes up all your measurements.
Much of the voodoo in the MS world stems from trying to fix retarded problems from a poorly laid out board. I think I'll power it off the same place I power the MS from for now. If I have noise issues maybe I'll use a cap or ferrite or something.

Took out the fuel pump and cleaned the sock... well, kind of - it was actually quite clean to begin with.
Rewired the pump (no pictures) and found a fuel leak - one of the clamps was leaking at the fuel filter. It was scary.
I also decided to redo my coolant reroute with silicone hose. I almost finished it this morning.
The problem I had with the escalade hose is that it's too big. It's a 1.31" ID and I always need to clamp the **** out of it with multiple clamps. It never fit well so I ended up replacing it with a few other hoses blah blah blah it's a piece of ****.
The silicone hoses are ebay hose kit for some honda - 32mm ID.

The point I'm trying to make is that you can just buy the cheapest silicone hose set on ebay and make it work with a little bit of cutting. with the trackspeed rad its easier because radiator inlet is offset.

+1 for pics. The escalade/kia/whatever everyone on here said to use one is.... ok, but it rubs on my IC inlet. Perhaps its not that big a deal, but there you go.
You found in-tank big gauge wires? One of my many HID kits came with a 40 amp relay all wired up (making the $15 for wire and a relay + using my own fuse holder from the FLAPS kinda a rip-off) which I was going to use, but it seems silly to have the one part of the system which might burn up INSIDE THE BOMB.

Keep us posted on if the silicone makes the engine bay smell like coolant. Silicone is porous and depending on the construction it can really stink things up.

Definitely interested in this - I am about to install my reroute and want something I can trust over the Escalade piece.

I already have silicone heater core hoses and... I guess it smells a bit? There are so many smells in my car I can't really tell.
