I dont think he's going to strip the box doing smooth pulls in 1 gear.

Although 4th is a ton smaller, thinner, and weaker than the rest in the 6, so I'd suggest avoiding it when doing shenannigans

Nah the transmission is fine.

This is how it works (aka how to not break your 6 speed)
1st - spin wheels
2nd - spin wheels
3rd - spin wheels
4th - skip
5th - do 120mph videos
6th - highway

yeah you're not going to see videos of me rowing through the gears, except maybe a single 5->6 shift

Right on, I'm just saying you're making >130wtq more than bbundy was when he broke his last one. I hope it lasts for you too, this car has given me lots of good fap material when it's turbine stays in the housing.

Don't take this the wrong way...

But what's the point, then?

I mean, i don't think anyone expects to see a ***** out 1st thru 6th to redline glory pull...

But do you just baby this thing around while you wait for a better transmission option to materialize?

At this stage, pretty much, and I didn't indend to end up here. I drove the car a lot harder when it was somewhere between 300 and 350whp - now its just a) way faster and b) way more fragile

I think the short-term solution is lower boost and ultimate solution is a stronger transmission, axles, traction control and wider tires. As you may guess the latter is a ton of money so until then I have to baby it around.

Its still stupid fast in baby-around mode, don't get me wrong. It makes 350whp at wastegate pressure (15-17psi) so even part throttle is plenty fast.

Thats what I do, and by that I mean, thats why I havent turned my car up to kill, not that being able to spin both 1st and 2nd at any realistic rpm on street tires isnt fun.

Lenoid just needs to start street driving on 275/35R15 R6's, lol. And throw in a racelogic box.

I like how the hose wrap stuff makes it look like you're venting your valve cover into the driver's compartment in that picture.

Nah, I like it like this. It was also meant to be temporary until VVT swap - but that didn't happen, yet.

Today I had issues with fuel pump. Started off as an issue with wiring - one of the crimps wasn't very good and it started melting the wire. I fixed that and now the fuel pressure is 20psi lower than it should be. I confirmed that the pump is getting full voltage. I think I may have killed the pump.... ****.

Sucks about the pump. Must have been the other way around - drawn current from slow pump melting wire??

Off topic - did you notice a difference when you braced your master cylinder? Your pic inspired me to finally do it, but I don't know anyone who did just that one change and noticed anything useful.

Didn't notice any difference with the brace.

And I think I found the issue with the fuel pump - there is a lot of **** in the tank and the filter.
(this one has less than 1000 miles)

There is a chance that the pump is still ok but I don't want to take chances - they are around $130 shipped these days, just google 'F90000267'

So I'm getting a new pump, new pump sock, new filter and replacing the gas tank with 94-97 one I have laying around. I will flush the new tank so it will be squeaky clean.
