Default charlies turbo build

Hey guys thought id start a build thread on this forum..

Ok so i bought the car stock in feb this year.. Its a 1990 1.6 with 5speed.
Original plans were to improve the handling a little and just keep it as a nice daily.. that changes later on

Feb:
Bought axis oldschool wheels, bc coilovers, new gear boots and replaced the broken rear window.
Then the engine blew so replace with a 1.6 longnose, new clutch, new mounts, fix the thermo fans and sort out some wiring.

Heres the first 'look' i went for.

March:
Bought a sparco sprint off a mate.. Went really well and was a good upgrade

Also bought a mania cold air intake and garage vary lip

Detailed the car, bought some new door cards and some project kics spacers

April:
Bought a nardi classic 330mm, mazdaspeed oil cap and m2 runabout mirrors

Painted the valve cover white with red lettering

May
Bought some boss frog 'frog arms', 15mm spacers and secret element tie rods

Fitted the new mirrors

June
Installed the frog arms

Bought a local roll bar and got it fitted

Bought a flyin miata rear subframe brace, arc intake and an oil catch can.

Fitted both intakes, new brake pads, fitted subframe brace, tie rods and spacers

hit up a meet with the new shizz

July:
went to a few meets, replaced the headlights and bought an autokonexion carbon bootlip spoiler

August:
Lowered the car and fitted the rear spoiler.

Bought some sway bars, decided to only fit the front for the time being.. Made up a bmc stopper out of the strut brace

September:
Bought a jackson racing cold air intake and went to a car show..

Bought an exhaust to use as a base and also some boss frog frame rails

Pic:

IDK about miata cages, but I do know that the honda cusco cages are more dangerous than not having anything. You're safer w/ just the roll bar, i don't want to start a debate bu you should really read about it.

Good looking car, dude. You'll have a lot more fun once you get the turbo stuff sorted and running well.

Car looks awesome. Just about how I'd do it if I had it all to do again. Where'd you source your cage?

If you need a base map for the Haltech send me a PM. We've done a few Sprints on the 1.6 cars.

Things got good in post #3.

Bad things:

Please stop buying wheels ASAP. Each revision looks worse than the last. You also need to save your money for boost.
