to those interested, it's still f/s

unfortunately people who live in states where there's emissions need to come up with a loophole (as the hundreds of thousands of others do) to own a car that isn't stock.

I have no idea how or if it would pass emissions without a cat and with an Electromotive tec3R for a management system, but know a bunch of people with a LOT more hp than me who seem to find a way to get past that...even those who live in the worst emissions state of all, Kali

so please don't get my hopes up,...only to come back and say "but will it pass emissions?" If you want a performance car, you'll find a way like the thousands of others did.

Must not be very many business men around these parts...

Let me put some conservative numbers next to these items:

Engine:

2.0L bored/stroked (this is the Xblock 2.0 that racingmazda sold = $3500)
forged 9:1 pistons
forged H beam rods
Billet oil pump gears ($300)
ARP studs throughout
'99 ported/polished head with high revving springs ($2000)
'99 stock cams with adj. cam gears
550 injectors
Vishnu fuel rail
Fuel pressure regulator (fuel system complete $700)
oil dump can
relocated oil filter
Custom exhaust manifold - heat wrapped ($700)
Custom intake manifold ($400)
Garrett GT3071 - ceramic coated dual ball bearing ($1000)
Tial wastegate and blowoff valve ($300)
Custom intercooler with thick core ($300)
Custom intercooler/piping - shortest over the top design possible
Mustang throttle body ($100)
Kyoto aluminum radiator w/dual fans ($300)
Electromotive Tec3R management system ($1500)
Mazdaspeed motor mounts
Bosch battery
custom stainless 3" turbo back exhaust w/Borla muffler ($800)

Transmission:

Mazdaspeed 6spd ($1000)
ACT heavy duty clutch ($300)
Mazdaspeed tranny mounts

Differential:

Torsen limited slip with 363 gears ($300)
Mazdaspeed diff mounts

Suspension:

Tanabe Sustec Pro coilovers ($1000)
tubular swaybar in front
helm joint swaybar links
-2.3 camber in front
-1.8 camber in rear
0 toe

Brakes:

Wilwood big brake kit fr/rear ($1200)
steel brake lines front/rear

Wheels:

949 wheels 6UL-2nd generation (13 lbs ea.) ($1000)
15x9 225/45/15 RS3 Hankook super sticky tires

Interior:

AEM digi Boost gauge
AEM digi Wideband ($200 for both)
Voodoo shift ****
Pioneer system with Navigation ($500)
Sparco Ring steering wheel ($100)
Clifford 2 way pager alarm ($300)
HardDog roll bar ($300)

Options:

A/C & heat
power windows
power antenna
tinted windows

just in some of the components above there's $20,000 in parts, didn't even add it all up, never mind the labor involved, because nothing installs itself, never mind the countless hours dynotuning, or the 8 hours wiring the electromotive up, or the CAR ITSELF...

seems people don't really know a good deal when they see one.
$11,995 is the deal of the century for anyone who has time and wants to make some money dismantling and boxing parts.

i thought this car would be gone when i searched for a turboed miata.
but the car is still for sale after a year and 9 pages posts.
i just bought a 1990 miata 2 days ago for 2400CND with 300,000km on it.
and i just did my build list a few hours ago and the parts alone is 18000USD and it's not even near the power of what you are making.
i will put my miata back for sale(maybe around 2800) and sell my 1999 Jeep TJ sport(7600), and my 1998 civic hatch back for 2500, so i should have about 12900CND, so around 12285USD, then i will def buy this car.
i just post this a few hours ago regarding my build. and i have been on miataturbo for the whole night doing research. and finaly i found your car.
http://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread...37#post4765137

you can certainly drive the car back all the way to Alaska if you want, it's a driver and you might pick some races on the way up.

not sure how to "transfer" a car to Canada, you don't know any Canadians that have a place down here? Florida is full of canadians and you can just register the car here and drive it back all registered...(and you'll never have to go through emmissions)

shipping quote i'll have to look around, but i think driving it back would be more fun

It is not the sellers responsibility to do all the goose chasing. If you are serious about buying the car, you will find out what it costs.

Man up!

I paid to ship my car from CA to FL and it was 1,500 when a gallon of gasoline was about four dollars.

The less you pay the more time it will be seating waiting for someone to pick it up.

The shipping of cars is like who will be willing to ship your car for that price. Your vehicle is placed on this waiting list database where all truck drivers will see where the car is located and how much is the person willing to pay.

The company you call is not the truck driver, they are just the middle man. My car stood on a friend's driveway for about a month because I was willing to pay 1,000. I would get phone calls from dozens of truck drivers saying they would pay this and that amount and the lowest one was 1500.

The price of shipping cars is not written in stone.

I'm pretty sure everyone is aware this is a fantastic deal, I just don't think there's very many of us that can afford something like this right now.

not true.
There's at least a dozen people on this site, right now... who are buying thousands of dollars in parts and access. to build their Miatas. They obviously have the money and most people WILL pay more than the whole cost of my car in parts alone to modify theirs.

I know cause i did the same **** and ended up 30 grand in the hole and wish i could have found a deal like this when i started
