They didn't pick a random blue volvo, no, but that's not the point.

and yes, earlier in the day/night, the two unarmed people in the volvo might have killed two police themselves, still not the point.

hell, two officers were shot by their own men... but they didn't turn on each other in a reign of fire.

i suggest you read this:

Quote:
Montesano led police on a brief chase before busting through a fence and crashing into a tree and light pole. As officers raced in from different directions, there was a pause before that first burst of gunfire. When the shooting stops after several seconds, one of the supervisors on the scene tries to take control. He notes the car is stuck and isn’t going anywhere.

“We need to establish that perimeter, I have not verified if the subject is down or not,” he said.
Another supervisor tells officers to stay back. There is no need for any of them to get into harm’s way at this point.

“We have the vehicle confined,” he said. “The officers need to pay attention to the radios, they are not listening, okay, that’s the inner perimeter – we’re good.”

A dispatcher replies: “Units pay attention. Please listen to your radios.”

Now that the car is surrounded, the plan now is to bring in SRT – the special response team – and have them take over. But so many units have flooded the area, SRT commanders are complaining they can’t reach the scene because the streets are blocked.

“Make sure the units are not in our way so we can pull in, and they’re not blocking the whole road,” the SRT commander said.

“Any units do not block SRT,” a dispatcher
it was retaliation. judge dredd style.

btw, joe, the above video, the guy had no axe...and he was not charged with a crime.

This happens every year down here. Some pig gets "too busy" or has "too much on his mind" and leaves his "partner" to die in the back of a hot SUV. If you or I were to accidentally hit a police dog running across the road, we'd be in jail for murder of a peace officer. The cops get "animal cruelty" and generally a few weeks paid vacation to "grieve" before the case gets tossed. It's bullshit.

Maybe I'd say more of just news being hopelessly FU.
Search quickly found another headline that said the criminal shot three cops. - I didn't get into the body of that article to see if they mentioned that the guy shot one cop and the cops shot two cops.

Google turned up a lot of hits that reminded me of that 'bama remark of something about listening to all accounts of something in case one was accurate.

Hell! Maybe the cops that got shot were the only righteous ones of the group.

Anyway - I've some ambivalence about such shooting of folks that seems as they might need it.
Such events distract from the completely criminal acts of prodding someone to create excuse to beat or shoot.

Police: the best tool for an angry neighbor.

VIDEO: Cops Raid Family Party, Pepper Spray Children, Taser Grandma | The Free Thought Project

Quote:
For something as trivial as a noise complaint, police felt it necessary to dispatch 5-10 officers and enter through the back door in a SWAT style raid.

Once inside, the situation quickly turned violent. Pepper spray, tasers, and pistol whipping was now the scene inside this house, which moments early consisted of laughing and celebrating.

Toddlers were left crying, wondering what is going on as they try and wipe the pepper spray from their eyes, watching in horror as their parents are being beaten, tased, and hauled away.

This is what ‘protecting and serving’ has become; gangs of costumed thugs running rampant over peaceful people.

and the crime for these wetbacks that were charged with a noise violation?

interfering with police work!

Police chief: Fleeing man was unarmed when officer shot him | Local - Home

Quote:
Officer Jason Shuck, an 11-year veteran of the Springfield Police Department, went to the store near the intersection of Glenstone Avenue at Bennett Street after an anonymous caller said a panhandler might have a warrant for his arrest. It turned out Butts was wanted because he is accused of violating conditions of his probation after being convicted of burglary two years ago.

Shuck started to talk to Butts, who then fled southeast toward Bennett Street. The officer then shot Butts, but Police Department representatives wouldn't say on Friday whether Shuck gave a reason for the shooting. At a news conference on Monday, Williams again would not say what reason the officer gave for shooting Butts.

Ashley Cook lives with Butts. She said he works part time, but they still have financial problems. She said Butts left to panhandle a few dollars Friday, hoping he could afford a pack of cigarettes. That is why he was in the Walmart parking lot.

"It's only $3 to get a pack, so he figured he could just go panhandle $3, and it would be fine. It ended up being worse than just that," Cook said.

Cook said Butts, her longtime boyfriend, is mentally challenged and has difficulty comprehending what others are telling him.

"He probably got really scared when the cop confronted him, and he just took off, because he just didn't know what to do," Cook said.

Following the shooting, the police department immediately put Shuck on paid administrative leave, a routine course of action after an officer hurts someone.

Houston Police Just Assume Guy Giving Change to Homeless Man Is Dealing Drugs - Hit & Run : Reason.com

Quote:
In Houston, a man, while in his vehicle, gives some loose change to a homeless man standing outside in a parking lot, and then all hell breaks loose. According to KPRC 2 in Houston:

After Snider pulled onto I-10, he said a police car with flashing lights and sirens pulled behind him.

"I put my hazards on to let him know, 'Hey, I see you,'" said Snider. "This is a really bad part of I-10 to be pulled over on, so I was trying to find a safe place to pull over."

Snider said he was shocked by what the police officer did next.

"He's screaming. He's yelling. He's telling me to get out of the car. He's telling me to put my hands on the hood," said Snider.

Snider said the officer pulled him out of the car, handcuffed him and put him in the back of a police car, as ten more police cars were also pulling up.

"They're like, 'We saw you downtown. We saw what you did,'" said Snider. "I was like, 'Are you kidding me? I gave a homeless man 75 cents.'"

Snider said the officer accused him of giving the man drugs. The officer asked to search Snider's car and Snider said he agreed.

Don’t ever consent to a search without a warrant! Nevertheless, the cops found nothing in Snider’s car because he didn’t have any drugs. He has filed a complaint with the Houston police after his car was damaged in this flurry of activity. Police officials declined to talk about the incident with the news station, though Snider says they were yucking it up on the scene like the mistake was no big deal.

POLICE HELP!!!!!!!!!! A STUDENT LOWERED THE WINDOW!!!!!!!!! KICK HIM!!!!!! HURRY!!!!!! HE'S RUDE!!!!!!!!!

The bus driver should be placed on leave as well: He put all those children in danger when he stopped the bus and called police.

I dont understand why police were called for a school policy violation. That's not a violation of the law, police should not be involved in this sort of stuff. Police need to stay out of policy enforcement and stick to law enforcement. This is a trending trend with police.

The investigation will determine that the leg sweep was within the officer's authorized use of force.

Police Officer Shoots Puppy After 'Fearing For His Safety'

Quote:
A Michigan police officer shot and killed a 10-month-old puppy this week as he pursued a suspect through several yards in a Redford Township neighborhood.

According to the dog’s owner, Bianca Alakson, police ignored the “beware of dog” sign on her backyard fence early Sunday morning as they entered onto the property. After reaching her backyard, one officer claims to have been “charged” by the puppy.

“I didn’t know what had happened at first, I just heard ‘pop, pop’,” said Alakson’s boyfriend, Ryan Showalter.

Police claim the officer “feared for his safety” and had no choice but to shoot the puppy twice after it would not stop “advancing.”

“Everyone here loves animals, it’s the last thing we want to do but we have to protect ourselves,” a police spokesperson said.

Showalter refuted the officer’s claim that his puppy was dangerous, saying the dog had no history of violence whatsoever.

“He wasn’t the protector of the house type dog either, he was just the great everybody and love them to death type dog,” Showalter said.

Although police say the shooting was strictly based on officer safety, Showalter says the officer had a different explanation on scene.

“I asked him why and he said, ‘because he was in our way’,” Showalter explained.

Incredibly, officers then arrested Showalter, accusing him of interfering with police on his own property.

“They tried to tell me that I was resisting arrest,” Showalter said. “I was breaking down hysterically in the back seat of the cop car, crying, I didn’t know what to do.”

Showalter was later bailed out of jail by Alakson and is still awaiting charges from police.

Maryland Students Arrested, Suspended for "Deadly Lacrosse Equipment" Pursue Suit After Federal Decision : Appalachian Area News

Quote:
Both Easton High School students were suspended, and one arrested after objects used as tools to maintain their lacrosse equipment – a tiny penknife and a butane lighter – were deemed “deadly weapons” during a search by school officials after they received a tip someone on the lacrosse team possessed alcohol.

The students told officials they would find a penknife and lighter in their lacrosse bags, and “although it was understood that the penknife and lighter were tools used by the boys to service their equipment, the police were called and one player was actually handcuffed, fingerprinted and charged with possession of a deadly weapon.

“We’re certainly not doing ourselves or our young people any favors by allowing them to be indoctrinated into a police-state mindset from early on, with no knowledge that they have any rights or any sense that they are the descendants of revolutionaries who stood up to tyrannical regimes,” said Whitehead.

The legal opinion from the state board of education charged that officials in the Talbot County school system failed to apply “appropriate discretion” in the case, noting that the use of the tools are tacitly approved by coaches.

The board ultimately ordered the students records be cleared and reversed their suspensions. A civil-rights lawsuit however, still looms for the school.

Rutherford attorneys argue that school officials did not have reasonable suspicion that the boys’ belongings contained contraband, so the search violated their Fourth Amendment rights.

The suit also claims the suspensions deprived Dennis and Edsall of their right to a public education without due process of law, because Easton High School’s student handbook did not define the tools as prohibited “dangerous weapons.”

Investigation leads to suspension, resignation of 2 deputies | WHAS11.com Louisville

Quote:
A Jefferson County sheriff’s deputy is now suspended after a two month investigation; another deputy has resigned.

It all comes after the deputies went to serve a warrant and ended up inside a home which was a violation of department rules.

Deputy Jeremy Wright is suspended from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department for 15 days. Wright will be reassigned and will have additional training.
Another deputy, Samuel Durbin, resigned.

It all comes after an incident on Greenwood Avenue in West Louisville.
It’s an incident that witnesses are still upset about.

“That’s wrong. EPO is EPO. …EPO don't mean search warrant you go in and take what you want,” a witness said.

According to Sheriff's Department spokesman Carl Yates, in February Durbin and Wright were serving a domestic violence warrant to a suspect they thought lived here.

Yates said the deputies thought someone was home and Yates said they "jimmied" the front door open.

They were not authorized to enter the home.

A witness who does not want to be identified said her window was broken during the incident.

“No, they did not enter the home through the front door. I didn't hear them entering the home through the front door. I heard them entering the home through the back door and that’s when my window broke,” the witness said.

While inside the deputies did not find the suspect but did find drugs that they turned over as evidence.

Yates said it was all a mistake and there was no criminal intent.

Durbin resigned and had been with the department for three years.

Wright has been with the department for less than two years.

Try to imagine this horrid scenario. You get home from work to find your son dead in the garage. You try your best to resuscitate him but it is futile.

Your next step is to call the police for help. The police arrive and instead of helping you, they hold you down, beat you, and then arrest you.

Well that is exactly what happened to Cain Dixon.

State Patrol: Man who brandished gun on I-694 was ATF agent | Star Tribune

Quote:
Authorities partly closed a downtown Minneapolis freeway briefly Tuesday morning as they made a “high-risk” traffic stop to detain a motorist who allegedly brandished a gun at another driver.

Turns out the driver was an agent for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, a State Patrol report said.

The incident began about 6:40 a.m. on eastbound I-694 in Brooklyn Park, when a motorist called police to report that another driver was displaying a gun.

LiveLeak.com - Body Cam Captures Deadly Arizona Shooting

Quote:
Tim Gaffney, spokesman for PCSO, said Officer Richard Timmes with the Eloy Police Department responded to a burglary call around 4 a.m. Sunday near Sixth and Frontier streets in Eloy, Ariz. A business owner reportely told police that items appeared to have been taken from outside his business, according to Gaffney.

Timmes was searching for possible suspects in a nearby area using a flashlight when a male individual, later discovered to be Arenas, began yelling and cursing at the officer, according to a PCSO press release. The officer shined his flashlight onto the male subject, who was pointing a gun at the officer, according to Gaffney.

Police said the man ignored the officer's instructions to put down his weapon and then fired at the officer. Timmes, who has 3 1/2 years in law enforcement, returned fire striking the victim, according to PCSO. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased, said Gaffney.

Quote:
A misinformed Officer of the PPB giving an illegitimate order for identification, then escalating the situation into an illegal arrest. rhythmus-articulus tries to weave a musical magical field of defense.

The Officer arrived on scene with emergency lights flashing and demanded the music stop, that it was illegal to make music in Portland. Confronted with the fact that busking is indeed not illegal in Portland he decided a permit was required. This is also not a fact and was refuted. Eventually his purpose for being there was a mysterious complaint from someone who never came forward and according to dispatch records was never called in. After refusing to state a reason for his appearance or a crime that he suspected was in progress or a law or ordinance that he could think of that would be applicable, he decided to call for back up and arrest rhythmus-articulus and charge him with Interference with a Peace Officer, Disorderly Conduct of the Second Degree, Resisting Arrest, and on the tail end, Unlawful Operation of a Sound Producing Device (which states that it is illegal to operate a noise producing device that can be heard farther than 100 ft between the hours of 10 PM and 7AM). The musical equipment was seized as 'evidence' though never brought to the court room or used as evidence.

Following this incident, the Officer then filed a police report riddled with inaccuracies and outright lies that are disputed by this video and witness testimony.

READ THE REPORT HERE: http://www.ingruo.net/site/special/report.pdf

It is not illegal to busk in Portland, Oregon. It is not illegal to refuse to identify yourself to an Officer when the stop is non-vehicle related in Oregon state. An Officer has the duty to enforce the law and protect and serve the people of his or her jurisdiction. This Officer acted without the color of authority and on the benefit of a private interest, potential his own. This is not the conduct and behavior befitting of a public servant nor should it be allowed to continue.

UPDATE: The gear shown here was finally released after months of run around from both Officer Brent Taylor and DA Rod Underhill. On board the kaoss pad was a chip that recorded the performance. Officer Brent Taylor arrived on scene with lights blazing before the one and a half minute mark. That means he arrived within less than a minute of actual performance, and that was just warming up. IF a complaint was called in (which are almost always ignored according to numerous reports and complaints) it was before the show even started. Enjoy what's left of your rights...
