Sorry about that y8s, I only posted the article here because it is a huge historic event. Like I said, we haven't seen anything like this since the 1960s. I had thought people would be able to take it at face value, and would be able to not drag partisan politics into it.

Then again, I've thought retarded things very frequently, so that's nothing new.

If you ask Santorum, we haven't seen this sort of thing since the fall of Rome.

I just love how all you libtards think the man walks on water.

He's an incumbent politician, and just like ANY incumbent politician would claim they're Jesus ------- Christ himself just to get elected again. Thankfully, it won't happen.

That's a 65,000 mile wide sunspot which is going to destroy our planet. I hope.

We haven't seen this sort of thing since the 1960s. Whatever happens is going to be ground shaking, in either direction.
It was monumental, he acutally said the states should decide something... he's slippin'

which is why I believe what he's saying is only for votes. Especially when 40 states have voted same sex marriage down...

they only reason he spoke about it, was because biden is a moron. if biden hadn't of said something last week, neither would have obama.

Well said and I agree.

Maybe you're a raging homophobe or maybe you're not...

but the big picture here is that homosexuality is a significant civil rights issue.

Of course maybe you're a sexist and a racist and don't believe giving blacks and women the same rights as everyone else is really all that relevant either.

To some people, having Obama come out and say he's pro-gay marriage is like Kennedy acknowledging the rights of blacks during the Freedom Rides. Or Wilson supporting Women's Sufferage.

The difference I guess is that a bunch of gays didn't get burned alive by a mob of racist ******** while they rode a bus to Alabama. Give it time though. You can always count on the bigots.

i love how elesjuan says obama is a fool, and now he's a homo-fearing, racist, sexist...

obama hasnt said anything new that he hasnt in years.

the only thing that's shocking is that he still pretends he believes in states rights....which will all know is a outright lie.

I said "maybe".

Obama has never gone on the record and said he supports gay anything until yesterday. he may have implied it but never stated it outright.

civil rights are NOT a state issue. and desegregation fell under interstate commerce.

and homosexuality is not subject to opinion. there are people falling in love with members of the same sex and they aren't waiting for anyones consideration to do it.

you must have been sleeping through in 1996? He only turned "against it" to win the election. and now he's come back out again due to the press hammer him and biden. And he's always been for civil unions and whatnot, remember in 2011 when he stopped enforcing the DOMA?

"I favor legalizing same-sex marriage, and would fight efforts to prohibit such marriages."

im not judging; im just saying. his really important ground breaking interview, wasn't anything special or new.

1996 - "I favor legalizing same-sex marriage, and would fight efforts to prohibit such marriages"
2008 - "marriage is between a man and a woman. I am not in favor of gay marriage"
2011 - "My opinion on gay marriage is evolving"
2012 - "What will give me the most votes?!"

Romney used to be pro-gay marriage, pro gay rights, pro abortion at one time too Brainy.

Are you saying that politicians can never change their mind, ever or they are lying by default?

(Edit) And I'm not responding to the trolling anymore, I got caught by it. Here's a kitty video instead.

he's a politician. the end.
First off, a politician that never updates his opinions and beliefs based on new evidence is worthless. I don't know why the public has such a huge problem with flip-floppers.

Secondly, Back in 1992 (I think) I said my hero was Ronald Reagan when asked randomly in French class. The difference is the press was not there to write it down and rub it in my face 20 years later.
