That's why I voted for Ross Perot all those years ago--protest vote. California is a one-party state. You can all thank us for that when all you other states bail us out in a year or two.

I found it, wanting to read it myself, but it had too many words.

This is a chart where words don't matter much. It's not the words but the CRAP that passes for government efficiency.

The 2,700 (!) page law is nothing. Each page refers you to 100 additional pages. Just like taxes, a five foot stack of tax laws could be distilled down to a post card, but then half of Washington wouldn't be able to justify their existence.

Univision report connects Operation Fast and Furious scandal to murders of Mexican teenagers | The Daily Caller

So of the hundreds killed in Fast and Furious, 16 teenagers at a party and two Americans are included. This is from a US GOVERNMENT PROGRAM that sent guns to criminals in Mexico, WITHOUT MEXICO'S KNOWLEDGE. Univision says they found an additional 57 unreported guns, and there may be more programs like F&F that have gone unreported.

Am I missing the part where this isn't a major international scandal?

Bush's fault. Obama has already correctly blamed him for it.

Totally. How dare Obama start selling guns to Mexico in 2006 while he was a state senator in Illinois.

But there is a very very simple solution to the violence in northern Mexico. Just legalize weed. No illegal drugs = no drug cartels.

it figures you would try to say that the program that Bush tried in 2006 and shut down in 2007 was the cause.

Obama, last week:

“I think it’s important for us to understand that the Fast and Furious program was a field-initiated program begun under the previous administration,” the president said. “When Eric Holder found out about it, he discontinued it. We assigned a inspector general to do a thorough report that was just issued, confirming that in fact Eric Holder did not know about this, that he took prompt action and the people who did initiate this were held accountable.”
F&F started in 2009, Obama was president then.

The Bush's 2006 programs, Operation Wide Receiver, were not "field-inititated" and were not on-going into Obama's term.

Stupid question, but where are the Democrats on this? I guess "Nuge" could be the stand-in, cracking jokes and misrepresenting the facts, but this is serious.

Well I am not a democrat. But from the little I have read about it, it seems that the "gunwalking" was the ATF's idea. But if you have proof it was Obama that suggested it I would be interested to read it.

That is a bitter dilema. A vote NOT for Romney is a vote for Obama. Sick.
