Politicians are puppets and people that stew over them are part of the puppet theatre.

While there is still opportunity in this country, do yourself a favor and focus more on yourself and your loved ones.

Life is not a movie you watch, it's a movie you make.

What Trump may have said 11 years ago as a *private person* to someone he considered friend is inadmissible in a political race. To my knowledge, Trump is the only person running who has never abused the power of his political position.

I've really only seen three types of arguments against trump - one type of argument highlights that it's evil to be a successful large businessperson in America - the second type of argument highlights that in his past it was evil for him to be a private person who at the time had no ambitions to run for elected office - those two are irrelevant. The third type of argument against trump is that he's not a seasoned politician - I find this to be an endorsement.

It's not a court of law, so nothing is inadmissible. Elections are determined by public opinion.

Really? Most of the arguments I've seen against him center around three things:

1. He seems to have a very poor grasp of political and financial issues ("We'll have the best plans, really, all the experts say so, the very best plans.")
2. When he does communicate a clear political position, it is often an opinion that many people find ridiculous and/or offensive (making Mexico pay to have a wall built, "extreme vetting", deportation, etc.).
3. His personal character seems unfit for high political office (mocking fat/unattractive/disabled/etc. people, the "grab them by the *****" comments, not paying contractors, etc.).

I don't see anyone making the first or second arguments you claim, and the arguments that might fall under your third category tend to really be more about my first and second arguments when you unpack what is being said.

I seem to recall the fat/unattractive comments all being centered around Rosie o'Donell back when the two of them were having a public tiff. And I believe she said worse things than he did.

I've seen references to other comments as well, but that's not really the point (nor whether Rosie O'Donnell's comments were equal or worse than Trump's comments). I'm not commenting on whether it should disqualify someone from the Presidency; I'm simply noting that in an election based almost on public opinion, the perception that he is a crude, arrogant, egomaniac doesn't work in his favor. You might wish it weren't important, but it is.

He made comments about Carly Fiorina's appearance this year and that's far from the only example.

Carly Fiorina is an attractive woman, and the opinion of a presidential candidate in that regard speaks to the soundness of his judgement. That is something of which the electorate need to be informed.

No more my friend. I've found an outlet for myself within running the business and it's kept me out of trouble since.

That's why I opt to stay out of the political war. Sure, I have my political views, but so does everyone else and everyone thinks theirs is the right one. Sometimes people say things that warrant a punch in the mouth.

I gave up arguing about it a long time ago. Now I focus on the things that I can influence or change. Our corrupt government isn't one of them.....

Mike gets it.

24 Hours After Last Nights Debate, Mike Rowe Makes A Huge Confession On What He Sees Wrong With This Election

“Hey Mike, I have nothing but respect for you. Your no-nonsense outlook and incredible eloquence have really had a profound impact in my life. Can you please encourage your huge following to go out and vote this election? I would never impose on you by asking you to advocate one politician over another, but I do feel this election could really use your help. I know that there are many people out there who feel like there is nothing they can do. Please try to use your gifts to make them see that they can do something – that their vote counts.”
Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it. I also share your concern for our country, and agree wholeheartedly that every vote counts. However, I’m afraid I can’t encourage millions of people whom I’ve never met to just run out and cast a ballot, simply because they have the right to vote. That would be like encouraging everyone to buy an AR-15, simply because they have the right to bear arms. I would need to know a few things about them before offering that kind of encouragement. For instance, do they know how to care for a weapon? Can they afford the cost of the weapon? Do they have a history of violence? Are they mentally stable? In short, are they responsible citizens?

Casting a ballot is not so different. It’s an important right that we all share, and one that impacts our society in dramatic fashion. But it’s one thing to respect and acknowledge our collective rights, and quite another thing to affirmatively encourage people I’ve never met to exercise them. And yet, my friends in Hollywood do that very thing, and they’re at it again.

Every four years, celebrities and movie stars look earnestly into the camera and tell the country to ‘get out and vote.’ They tell us it’s our ‘most important civic duty,’ and they speak as if the very act of casting a ballot is more important than the outcome of the election. This strikes me as somewhat hysterical. Does anyone actually believe that Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen DeGeneres, and Ed Norton would encourage the ‘masses’ to vote, if they believed the ‘masses’ would elect Donald Trump?
