Now, out of the remaining 3, this is what I believe.

Ron Paul- Strong beliefs and slightly "wacky" ideas, probably too strong and wacky to win.
Newt Gingrich- Probably the best candidate in terms of "fixing the economy", although too boring to win.
Mitt Romney- Probably going to win.
Who's next?

If Mitt Romney wins I will be sad. So sad.

Ron Paul is gaining a TON of support. I think Ron Paul has seen the largest increase in support since the start of the campaigns. I mean he use to NEVER get mentioned, now they can't help but mention him.

I watched Paul on meet the press iirc, and I feel too many people assume that every idea a candidate has will become law of the land. Paul doesn't do a good job explaining his plans to implement his ideas. He DID do a good job on meet the press...the first time I've seen him explaining how he plans to implement policies.

Believe me, its nothing like the "the country will implode in the first week of Paul's presidency" that his opposition claims. He's got long term plans for change, without destroying the world.

Also, people forget the country has checks and balances...that sometimes work. For example, obviously santorum would never get his God's law crap to go through. Paul may never get his removal of certain agencies to fly...but he can surely plant the seed so that the issues are scrutinized and not just accepted blindly.

What I like about Ron Paul (and you basically said it as well) is that he is a bit far out there in what he wants to do. And I mean that in the best way possible. He is willing to put himself out there, and tell people what he really wants to do, and actually sounds competent when defending what he wants to do and why. I'm sick of hearing the same old garbage getting spewed out by other candidates. I think because he is the most out there, he is the best chance we have to move in the right direction. Others will never get anything done because they will just be molded into the position they are filling, and will be the same as the last. Ron Paul will break the mold (hopefully).

Ron Paul is the only candidate that I don't want to punch in face after hearing them talk for 5 minutes. And minus the abortion thing (I think abortion should be mandatory for some people), I agree with almost everything he says.

Agreed.

Ron Paul is my favorite candidate for sure.

I'm just wondering if his ideas are too far out there for the majority of voters. Whether they become reality or not, it may be enough to turn people toward Mitt Romney.

Yeah, I saw it had little views but didnt check a date, nor watch any of the others.

Everyone has an opinion. Usually the ones making videos about their own are the ones I don't agree with. Frankly, 99% of the people pushing these "blog" type videos need a punch in the throat. Esp that one dickbag that has the most youtube views or subscribers.

Its just ridiculous to me that that's what people choose to spend their time watching.

EDIT: ^^^ You guys forgot to bleep dickbag.

I was ok with it until he said something about shot's giving kids autism.

Things like that are why I have an aversion to voting for republicans or libertarians, also b/c of my atheism.

Cows and Government

Socialism
You have two cows.
The government takes one and give one to your neighbor.

Communism
You have two cows.
The government takes them both and promises you milk but you starve.

Fascism
You have two cows.
The government takes them and sells you the milk.

Bureaucracy
You have two cows.
The government takes them both, shoots one, milks the other, pays you for the milk, and then pours it down the drain.

Capitalism
You have two cows.
You sell one and buy a bull.

Bain Capitalism
You have two cows.
You sell one, force the other to produce the milk of four cows and then act surprised when it drops dead.

Redistributionism
You have two cows.
The government taxes you to the point that you must sell them both in order to support someone else who already got a free cow from the government.

-----

A CHRISTIAN:
You have two cows.
You keep one and give one to your neighbor.

A SOCIALIST:
You have two cows.
The government takes one and gives it to your neighbor.

A REPUBLICAN:
You have two cows.
Your neighbor has none. So what?

A DEMOCRAT:
You have two cows.
Your neighbor has none. You feel guilty for being successful. You vote people into office who tax your cows, forcing you to sell one to raise money to pay the tax. The people you voted for then take the tax money and buy a cow and give it to your neighbor. You feel righteous.

A FASCIST:
You have two cows.
The government seizes both and sells you the milk. You join the underground and start a campaign of sabotage.

A CAPITALIST:
You have two cows.
You sell one, buy a bull, and build a herd of cows.

------

A FRENCH CORPORATION:
You have two cows.
You go on strike because you want three cows.

A JAPANESE CORPORATION:
You have two cows.
You redesign them so they are one-tenth the size of an ordinary cow and produce twenty times the milk.

A GERMAN CORPORATION:
You have two cows.
You re-engineer them so they live for 100 years, eat once a month, and milk themselves.

AN ITALIAN CORPORATION:
You have two cows but you don’t know where they are.
You break for lunch.

A RUSSIAN CORPORATION:
You have two cows.
You count them and learn you have five cows. You count them again and learn you have 42 cows. You count them again and learn you have 12 cows. You stop counting cows and open another bottle of vodka.

A SWISS CORPORATION:
You have 5000 cows, none of which belongs to you.
You charge for storing them for others.

A TALIBAN CORPORATION:
You have two cows.
You turn them loose in the Afghan “countryside” and they both die. You blame the godless American infidels and the Jews.

AN INDIAN CORPORATION:
You have two cows.
You worship them.

This is the weirdest meme to me: Republicans and Libertarians bashing the private equity and leveraged buy out business model. Unless someone can cite some specific examples with Bain, most successful PE firms are practically models of "creative destruction" most free market-types espouse.

I just copied and pasted. I'm not on the Bain bandwagon. Actually, it doesn't make a lick of sense.

In regards to Bain & SC, it was the unions that force closed the SC plant, not Bain.
