I guess I have one more reason to hate the Republicans and the Democrats who both claim to be champions of low and middle income people.
Your problem, like mine, is your a S.I.N.K. (Single Income No Kids)

You have to pay for all the brown people who flip your burgers...its what you get for "using them" unfairly.

From a moral standpoint, yes.

From a purely financial standpoint he is retarded not to do it. Foreclosure might ruin his credit for like 3-5 years, but he will save himself like 100K+ over his life time. He can rent a nice place for cheaper than his mortgage while rebuilding his credit rating. Then in a few years he can buy a nice house at a reasonable price WITH a garage!

People that mix "moral" decisions and financial ones are confused little kids. The two are not mutually inclusive.

Its too bad you weren't effected by Katrina. Then you could minimally comply with state unemployment procedures and get supplemental income up to the amount you were paid prior to the event (Katrina was sent to NOLA by the federal government, and Bush blew up the levee to save the Quarter). You could live 100% rent free in the nice apartments across the street from me, never work again a day in your life, and you could steal ****. Hell, you can even get convicted of a crime, go to jail, serve your sentence, then get paid to do nothing for the rest of your life.

And your house could be made with Chinese drywall that emits sulfur vapors that are highly toxic and literally poison your lungs and cause all kinds of health issues for you and your family.

So even if they live for free in their free homes. They are slowly dieing from toxic fumes.

I blame FEMA for the toxic drywall. Contractors were paid with FEMA expended tax money to rebuild. THIS IS FEMA'S FAULT!!!!

Wrong. This is the reason our country is as fucked up as it is. Doing the right thing always outweighs personal financial gain. Bernie Madoff ring a bell?

Call your Senator and I will send you money which is rightfully yours because you chose to live in harm's way, and now you require sustenance in perpetuity because you need to watch Maury and impregnate other people who do not pay federal income tax to produce a socially compromising super-race.

I lul at you equating walking from a mortgage to a ponzi sceme.

I think our fucked up govt has more to do with the political office transforming from a temporary post you participate in to help your country to becoming a career and bending the law to benefit yourself (speaking to politicians).

They're both fucked and wrong. Your mindset tells me that you and I aren't from the same generation. The govt is fucked too but it doesn't give anyone the right to steal either by defaulting on a mortgage or bilking investors. What ever happened to individual responsibility? Guess it went the same place that spanking your kids went to, replaced by time-out, blame, entitlement mentality and a complete lack of personal accountability.

I think you and I are more alike than you think. Can't someone play devil's advocate anymore? It was a good movie after all.

Brain has complete removed all sense of serious vs joking on this site with his crazy comments.
