Default max power output for this unit.

My friend wants a fast spooling unit for his 92 mazda miata, I figure this would be a good choice since the a/r is 48 and 49 , How much power are these turbo's good for, From a source I understand that they are rated for up to 250hp, please correct this if its wrong, he has a t25 turbo manifold, he's going to be using about the same parts im using but with the begi fmu and a ms. so is the power output correct or what are this series rated for.?

Maybe you should say what kind of turbo it is I assume a GT2554 since youre talking about fast spooling on a T25 manifold.

no lag = no power either. the less lag you have the more innefficient the turbo will be at higher rpm/load conditions which is exactly where you don't want the heat (detonation/pre-ignition). There is a trade off obviously or we'd all be running T4s. But it seems silly to build a system with zero lag unless you want to peak out at 150 whp... might as well stay stock.

thought the saab units were a T3 not a T25.... either way at $7.50 that's a steal.
