BEGI = Great people!
BEGI Rocks!
I sent stephanie at BEGI an email regarding the new divorced gas downpipes for a T3 set up. She replied with some additional questions right away. Answered the questions to the best of my measley ability and got terrific responses.
For no additional cost, other than shipping, I can send them my manifold and T3 turbo and they will custom build the downpipe to fit. That's service! The new downpipes are even reasonably priced. I'm looking at the mild steel and it's under $300. I could get a custom DP done locally for that kind of money but not with all the engineering BEGI did to create their design.
Questions!!
Am I wrong in thinking this seems pretty reasonable for a quality part? There are 2 parts I knew I didn't want to skimp on, the manifold and the turbo. Is the DP not important enough to warrant spending a little more for their stuff?
Budget build but I don't want to skimp where it will cost me in the long run. Looking to push around 10psi on a daily driver. FM/ begi mani, t3, bipes, begi fmu, cheapest intercooler and piping I could find, other parts not completely sorted out yet.

Been there done that!
I think a few members here were able to use the jig they made with my T3 and I got it all back within 7-business days. On top of that I was still given the special "introductory" pricing. And I believe it was mounted to Corky's personal miata
FM. :gay:

I'm seriously considering buying their stage 2 kit right now. It sure would be alot easier than making it myself...since time is not on my side. After looking at their stuff, and now with the coolant re-route included in my quote, its almost stupid to do the diy since I have a little money to play with. It will take some time though..I have to swap motors, install and tune ms, then the turbo job.

I was reserving my post in this thread until I had news on my BEGi downpipe. The short of it is I had a one-off separated-gases downpipe fabricated by them last summer. Had some issues with fitment, but they're getting those straightened out. Needless to say, the downpipe flows quite well.
I dunno about decals, but they're very friendly and helpful. Corky is a wealth of knowledge. And stories, but that's something else.
