This bracket which also serves as a compressor retaining clamp won't clear my hood. Can I replace it with a couple washers or will the compressor need that distributed clamping pressure from it?

washers should work, you have two more brackets that distribute the torque.

or just cut down that silly one, or get a real replacement.

I was going to have it cut down, but in the interim this shouldn't be bad? I can't run full boost to redline anyways right now since my injectors are utterly maxed so there wont be too much thermal stress or anything. Thanks for your input! I'm so close to it being well sorted I can taste it!

I run a bank of injectors injecting fuel onto my compressor housing for more power.

What I meant was, I won't be beating on the car because my injectors are maxed out. I will be taking it easy on the car until I get this bracket cut down and get a more even clamping force. Sorry for the confusion

Sarcasm. You can close and delete this thread if you want. I can't see it ending well. I like overthinking things
