Default Few questions about NB 1.6 miata build

Hey. This is my first post on this forum. I'd like to say hello and make sure that my thinking is correct.

With every thread i read, im more and more confused so i'd be really grateful for tips and pointing me wrong ideas.

I decided to use Piggyback Ecumaster DET3 because it's the cheapest way to tune a car in Poland.

i'd like to get 180whp from 1.6 nb engine. So i think stock injectors and pump should be enough. Am i right, or should i go with 1.8 injectors?

I read that 1.6 NA engine have possibility to oil feed turbo by stock. Do nb engine have the same possibility?

I'm not sure if its good idea, but i want to use wrx/saab td04 turbo, and tbh i don't know how to control boost. Is wastegate enough, or should i go with ebc.

How about intrercooler. Is it neccesary in this build?

I can answer just regarding the oil feed. The NB block will not have that oil feed port under the exhaust manifold. You have two options: a) either tee off the oil pressure sensor under the intake manifold (on the other side of the engine) or b) like myself and few others, you can get oil feed for a turbo from the back of the head on the exhaust side like below in the photo:

You will need a 1/8 bspt to AN3 adaptor fitting and then AN3 lines.

Yes, get an intercooler. WRX/Saab turbos are perfect. I run a Volvo TD04-13G. (It was very cheap on ebay, BUT I had to fabricate my own flanges for the manifold and downpipe).
Having an EBC is also nice as you can plumb it directly to compressor housing rather than after the TB.

You will need new injectors; RX8 ones are cheap, but the market is full of Chinese knock-offs, so be careful. TD04 turbos are cheap as chips as well, and by far the most commonly used turbocharger here (Greece), where the majority of NB/NB2s we got are 1.6 as well.

Thank you guys, i also have question about manifold. I will have to weld it by myself, so i will need a flange, is 1.6NA and 1.6NB exhaust flange the same, or there are differences?

Pattern is the same; I run a NA exhaust manifold on my 1.6 NB as we speak. I would use a cast manifold though. There are really cheap chinesium ones on eBay if you are on a tight budget. Example (you may be able to find one with a TD04 flange)

Used GReedy ones pop up from time to time and are cheap as well. Kraken is better than all of them, but not sure how often people sell theirs.
