My state inspection is overdue and I have had a problematic CEL so I decided to remove the turbo to diagnose the problem and to get my inspection done.

Man, it's been over a year since driving N/A, and what a difference. Pre-turbo I used to think my car was really peppy, but man it's feels so dead now. I am so used to gunning it at 3Krpm just hear the spool and feel the car take off.

I must say though, I do love the N/A exhaust sound, and my next project has got to be a free flowing exhaust. I still have the stock mid-pipe, and my exhaust is virtually silent with the turbo.

luckily I've never driven a real turbo miata...just my sister's msm and a 210whp mp62.

If thats the junk that came off, how in the hell are you running without a MAF?? lol

Funny you say. When I went to put my intake back I couln't figure out how to put it back together, and then realized I was missing the MAF.
