I believe the mounting for wrx turbo is different from a t25 flange, get some pictures

the wrx turbo mounts to an up pipe so it's like an exhaust flange, three bolts and sort of triangular.

You need a custom 3-bolt manifold... my buddy had one installed in his 1.6, then when he upgraded to a new car with the 1.8, got another manifold made....

Personally, I think the turbo matches the miata well. Spools well, doesn't really seem to top out up high (although, it's definately getting there). I like it, I like it a lot. <G>

All that information is correct.
Do you have any other parts bought yet DP/Mani/Intake, or is this the first part? look into what you'll have to have fabricated to make it work PRIOR to buying it.
Better to figure out how much power and what kind of power you're looking for and buy a turbo that will get you there. That WRX has good specs for a Miata application, it might be more of a pain than is necessary.

well im thinking about jumping on it because i can get it that cheap, i dont have anything bought yet but was looking at corkybell my only problem is im also buying a bike right now so im trying to pay it off as fast as i can plus thats where i get my speed fix,
the only reason im modding the miatas power is so it matches the handleing(full suspension), i am great in corners but as soon as i get to the straight i lose em again, its like playing cat and mouse. so i dont need that much power im aiming for 100hp per ltr so about 160

Is this basically the same turbo that Greddy uses, just with different flanges?

honestly WRX turbos are a dime a dozen, and that isn't a super hot price, if you miss it get another one on NASIOC.com.

Im running a VF10 turbo from an earlier Legacy GT i think they are the same as the "t-bird" IHI turbos.
the wrx td04 turbos are a great little turbo and they LOVE to push high boost at lower volumes than the T 25 turbos do, so make a great setup for a 1600 car...they are cheap (around half the cost of a T25)as and are very good turbos for the money.GO FOR IT.
If you have a weld el manifold made up like mine youll be cooking! check out my subaru turbo setup:
