I replaced mine when I did the motor swap. They were both pretty much shot.... with 210K kms.... <G>

Definately worth it. Helped a lot with the power 2 -> 3 shift. It doesn't hit the gate like it did before. Although, that doesn't remove the "user error" factor though. <G>

Replaced my stock ones with MS mounts in August of '05 - The old ones were pretty worn out and broken.
It didn't take too long to replace them. Did it with the motor in the bay. No problems......

I would like to remove the cups (for weight reduction) when I change mine out. Anyone do that with theirs?

Why would you want to do that just to shave two pounds?those metal cups are there for a reason,if you need to get rid of some weight,a better and smarter alternative would be to just remove the windsheild washer bottle.

yeah I thin kthe metal cups are important but the ac/ps is a good target for weight loss. also carpet and trunk guts all easy and fairly heavy.

Two pounds at this point is huge! My washer bottle has been gone for about 3 years now. As far as I know, the only reason the cups are there are to keep the engine from shifting too much if both the motor mounts are destroyed.

All that stuff is long gone (around 400 pounds removed so far). Believe me, I need the metal cups taken out. Has anyone done this while changing out their motor mounts?

It's been awhile since I've been to your site, I'd forgot how much weight you've removed, that's insane.

What are you at now?

Under 1900 pounds. I don't weigh it very often so I am not sure of the exact amount.
