Hydra & FM users - what does your PWM map 2 look like?
I am trying to tune the Hydra so my boost comes early and stays at max boost throughout the rpm band. Right now, I have an increasing function where I don't get max boost until almost redline. I did adjust my wastegate earlier today, and that seemed to help matters quite a bit, but according to the data, my boost ramp looks about the same. FM says to adjust the PWM map 2 but I don't know what a 'good' curve looks like. I would like to see what you guys have and how far I should adjust it.
Thanks!

he's using a MBC.
I'm not using hydra, but the idea behind my DC target is the same.
keep the valve closed as long as possible.
you can see there is about 200RPM where the valve opens up to its target DC%, the rest of the RPM range is solely for keeping the boost flat. notice I have a dip that I've tuned out by increasing the DC%

i'm using a $10 manual boost control.
This is the best I can do for you though:
http://mrcontrols.com/installs/nemesis/boostctrl.htm
note you'll have to make changes depending on whether you have an internal or external gate.

braineack, that actually helps me quite a bit. The profile they have set by default has very low numbers for the low duty cycles. I had a feeling this is what it should be, but I didn't want to make such big changes without some sort of verification. I will try it out today and let you guys know how it works out. Thanks!

i spent a few hours trying to get a GM boost valve to work and never got it to change my boost level. i knew it was working (could hear it and do the "blow through" test just fine) but I gave up dicking around with it and threw an MBC on there and haven't bothered with it since.
some day maybe.
