Awesome! All the worst parts of an IWG combined with all the worst parts of an EWG! What could go wrong?

Yeh the turbine housing.

This is NOT how I would have done it but I was asked to do it like this.

I know, that's almost word for word what I told him.

But

It works. Really well too. Rock solid boost control.

And

He was working with fail wheel drive setup that had no room whatsoever to fit it anywhere else.

There's a lot of **** you can get away with that doesn't go "by the books" and will work perfectly.

It's one of those things where in high school, you fucked up all your math to get to the answer in trig/geometry/calc/whatever, everything was wrong.

But you lucked out and got the right answer.

Just don't show your work and nobody will care.

NitroDann- those are completely whacko. They are so deep into the turbines scroll, I can't see how they couldn't ruin flow. The Gurney Eagle I cited is similar to the ATP above- EWG exit is right after the turbine housing flange.

Like I said I would never have done those ones like that.

However I have seen flow analysis and it looks fine, and they seem to perform fine.

Cant be a lot worse than stick an ewg at right angles on the collector.

I've done some research on this and CAD flow stuff suggests that it really has no ill effect. I'd like to hear about your info on it because I'm genuinely interested.

Some info I found.
