Oh, interesting, I hadn't thought of that. Not a bad point, though they are a bit expensive, I guess it's a 'while you're in there' kinda thing - not worth pulling the motor apart, but if you're changing pistons anyway, why not?

Still, water injection seems like an easy way to get by with bad gas... I was almost thinking of putting it earlier.

A couple of things. Don't run bad gas. Your street tune shouldn't be so wild and on edge that a normal variance between your regular stations premium and the one down the street will cause any issues.

Water injection isn't a built motor, I thought we were talking about building a motor here? It also isn't passive, you've gotta do stuff and keep the fluids full. Though it's a really efficient way to cool the air, it's not a very efficient in terms of monthly maintenance, multiple failpoints some of which move, weight, ect.

Ok, yeah, I'll give you that, too. That's why I don't have it - more weight, points of failure, etc. I think you could make it reasonably robust (Joe's system isn't too bad, though I'd rather do it in software), but I guess I'm just not there yet when I feel that's what's holding me back.

Knock knock?

So you're saying you should run bad gas?

Bad gas happens. You can't always make it to the same shop, or trailer it home - for a street car.

no I'm just tired of hearing the damn term....it's Toms famous excuse. I get gas from BP and Hess and other hole in the wall shops....whichever has the shortest line and the shadiest clerks/customers.
