Default B6-ZE / B6T manifold stud pattern

I have a B6T engine as a spare for my '89. I also have a turbo manifold designed to fit the B6ZE in my mx5 and I was surprised to find that the top left/right studs on the B6T are in different locations than on the B6ZE so the manifold won't fit on the B6T.

Can this be safely drilled and tapped on the B6T head? I cant modify the manifold because there is no metal where the hole would need to go.

A lot of the B6t heads had stud holes in both locations and used them both very early ones did not. They only had the further inboard stud hole.
