Injector spray pattern characteristics
I'm looking for some 440 injectors.
It seems like I got the choice between Supra turbo und rx7 blue top injectors.
The main difference between the two (beside the color) seems to be the bottom of the injector, the rx7 one has a "direct" nozzle whereas the Supra one has a plate with 4 holes in front of the nozzle.
Which style/which injector would you prefer? are there big differences in the spry pattern?

When I had my Suby, I had the stockers modified from 560ccs or so to 816cc injectors. They do this by cutting the screen off that has the holes like the Supra injectors which in essence turns them into the RX-7 type which is a direct nozzle. After the tune for size, the idle was exactly the same. Mileage around town wasn't adversely affected either.
I'd imagine injectors that are designed for a direct spray vs. holes to restrict/atomize flow wouldn't have any bad characteristics to make them inferior.
