Default Turbo 101

Hey guys, maybe it's just me but, thanks to another forum member's question (sorry I can't recall who) Ben was nice enough to post the link below.

I don't know how many turbo kit users and others considering taking this route face the same situation I faced.

When I started down the FI path, my first consideration was a supercharger (issues such as whether I would find a local tuner, my age, etc.) but I was prodded to pursue the turbo by some well meaning and knowledgeable guys.

The first suggestion was to read "Maximum Boost" by Corky Bell. After reading it twice I found myself without sufficient knowledge about turbos per se. No matter how much I asked I could not get a simple explanation on how the turbo works.

Granted, most of you guys are well versed on the subject but I would like to propose that the mods make a sticky with the information on the link below for guys like me who are mechanically challenged.

If you feel like it's not worth it, at least let me thank Ben for the link. You've made my Christmas

BTW, who took the Gay smilie from the column next to the messages. I love that one! I really don't know what it stands for but at my age I couldn't care less what others think.

Rafa
