Default Turbo fitament question, found cheap locally but unsure on specs

Locally we have some turbos I'm not familiar with and/or larger 2860/2871 turbos for sale with decent pricing. I'm still learning here.

http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbob...R_707160_7.htm

I'm not sure what garrett means when they say this has an oddball fitament?
Will it run in a standard FM or BEGI system?

Another question I have is for those who have had a 2560 and then moved up to a say 2860 or 2871- both small and large A/R versions, were you happy with the way the boost came on and how the car drove? This would apply particularly to those who kept everything else the same (like I plan to for a while - not those that also went hog wild and went tubular and Tial and and got new windshield stickers etc.) I'm just thinking of swapping my dying 2560 for something bigger and keeping everything else the same.

Thanks guys!

It's got threaded holes and a Skyline 5-bolt flange, so no, it won't bolt up to any FM/BEGi kit.

Crikey

,and thanks for clarifying that.

Is an adapter of any sort an option?

you would need a new flange on the downpipe.

I may just pick up the GT28 housing in the classifieds here and make it work. Should bolt up no problem to the DP after that and then drill out the threaded holes on the manifold side?

Does that sound correct in making it work ?

***EDIT***

Is my 2560 turbine housing only swappable with the 2554 turbo as they both share the same turbine wheel diameter of 53.0mm? I take it that the 2860's 53.9mm wheel needs a larger housing to fit it.
