Default What timing is everyone running?

In my 01 I'm running the stock timing wheel and about 6psi. I'm getting knock in high RPM in third. Do you guys think it's possible to run stock timing at 6psi?

I ran a voodoo box with no timing control at 7 psi with no knock on 93 octane. Stock base timing is 10* for me but i can't adjust mine.

16° Base, retarding to 7° or 8° (can't remember)
11psi, 93 octane (10% eth.), no ping.

Yeah, but it's ******* cold where you live! :gay:

I run 6* base and add 8* when not in boost. Summer days get up to 100*, I have driven in one of those days yet.

thread starter.......um i don't know what to call you, i guess pimple assface. If you don't want to mess with your timing probably the only way you'll be able to get away with it is with some sort of chemical injection

Base timing is stock, at 9 psi, pulling roughly 1 degree per psi. Los Angeles on 91 octane crapoline. When I was in Seattle, in the cold dense air on 92 octane, I was able to add roughly 4 degrees to whatever the setting was in most cells across my map.

Hey Mach929... how about PA for short? Hey Pimple, better let us know your name or what to call you, or we'll just stick you with something.

Virginia 93 octane.
Base 14*
Bipes pulling 6* plus 1*more for every 30*F starting at 3000rpms.
Ran as much as 16-17psi with a DSM T25 w/no knock.

Probably need to pull 8* and start at 2000rpms for the coming summer though.
