1/4 Mile - 12.046 @ 114.25MPH (Video)
Went back to the track Friday to (finally) start tuning my spark maps. Each run I bumped the map up 1 degree, ended the night with 5 degrees up over the base MSPnP map, didn't touch anything else other than adjusting the launch control slightly. 110oct, Toyo RA1s @ 20psi, roughly 16-17psi of boost, stock internals, yada yada.
First run - 12.710@113.05, 2.0 60ft
Second run -12.532@113.39, 2.0 60ft
Third run - Couldn't find 3rd..
Fourth run - 12.106@114.05MPH, 1.749 60ft
Fifth run - 12.046@114.25, 1.711 60ft
Sixth run - 12.077@114.60, 1.763 60ft
I never realize how much I short shift until I watch the videos later. Hopefully with a few more tweaks and better driving I can hit 11.999.. *fingers crossed*

Damn. Nice passes. Looks like there's still something to be had in the launches from the videos, but jesus 1.7 What are you running for rear suspension? If I tried to launch like that I would break ****.

Those launches are definitely testing the limits of a Torsen. Suspension is JIC FLTA2, dampers are set about in the middle I think. It only wheel hops every now and then, but it usually goes hand in hand with a poor launch on my part. No hop on any of those 1.7 runs though.

Holy **** dude, this is very impressive. Have you considered going to a clutch-type rx7 lsd? Should make for better launches and (hopefully) wont break. Plus if you do it before you blow the torsen you can sell it to recoup costs.
Anyways, those times are awesome. Those launches are nasty, what are you launch control settings and how much boost do you make on launch control?

Rough summary (I forget stuff):
JGS log manifold
T3/T04E 50 trim
Evo VIII IC, 2.5" piping
Forge BOV
FM dual feed rail w/ SS lines
MSPnP w/ GM IAT
RC 550cc
NGK BKR7Es
AEM UEGO
AC/PS/EGR/PCV delete
Home brew motor mounts, metal cored hockey pucks FTW! $10
ACT Stage 2?
Lightened flywheel, forgot the brand, maybe Fidenza or CM
JIC FLTA2s
I have been thinking about swapping to something else, but haven't really decided where I want to go with that one. The 7" RX7 swap was appealing, the TII swap looks like a PITA, but then again that new caddy swap seems nice too. If the diff is still alive come winter I may swap it then, but in reality I will probably procrastinate until I break it lol.
Launch control was set at fuel/spark, 0* timing, and 3800RPM, boost is about 6psi of the line.
Any monkey can slip a clutch and bang gears ha
Do you mean off the line? MS launch control.
You could go dorrifto and weld it!
(just kidding)
