Those numbers are nuts! I seriously didn't think a miata could run those kind of times on anything short of drag radials, mad props, and then add some more on top for pulling this off on stock internals.

I can't wait to see you hit 11s, may I say again that this is ******* nuts.

It weighed in at 2350 for those runs, with driver. I deleted PS, AC, CC, the entire air bag system including most of the wiring, evap, EGR. I think thats about it.

Does anyone know the HP or ET record for stock internals on a BP? I would guess Marc @ M-tuned holds the power record, I think I remember him running some sick numbers on a stock block.

Crap... I need to weigh mine. My best friends with a mostly full tank of fuel in a full A-Package car is 2400 even.. Thats with PS, A/C, and maybe some junk in his trunk...

Not sure about the record, I'm sure you're close. You should totally dyno that beast!!

I am going to for sure, probably the last thing I do this year before tearing it apart for the winter build up.

I can't make it back to the track for another week and a half, it seems like forever!

Since that was the first time tuning off that map, I bumped the whole table up together, up to 6800. The base timing map is pretty conservative. Next time out I'll start working on individual parts of the map.

Cool!!! Please keep me posted.

I'm also running a PnP with the base map N/A but looking for more power.

I'll save atiming map with some addvance and try it.

I read somewhere that for non blown the bas map is best left with little advance above 2900 RMP

Question - What are RMP's. Not quite familiar with that acronym. Wish I could help you with it. But, I know nothing.

Apex; I have to ask:

1) are you using a 5 speed trans?

2) what's your gear ratio?

Thanks

I'm happy to see someone right at 11 in a miata that isn't tubbed with a solid axle. It looks like I might be able to build a car that goes fast and turns well.

No clue on that one, I have zero experience when it comes to tuning N/A.

Stock 5spd (Number 2) and stock Torsen(number 2 as well), its a 94 - can anyone chime in with those gear ratios? I think the trans was out of a NA6 but those gears should be the same.

My goal is to SOMEDAY run 10.X with no tub or straight axle.. But that is a LONG way away!

I definately think that my car would have seen 10's if I could get a similar 60 ft. I definately know I had the power to do it, it's just a matter of hooking it up. I could never get it to hook up in 2nd gear. In 3rd I always hooked, even up to max pressure. So, I think that if I could have gotten through that issue I would have been good (and didn't miss any gears). Nevetheless, 10's is a really good goal and something to be proud of if you achieve. But, just know that you will always want more, just look at me.

Good luck on your quest.

I'm tired:yawn:

I have no clue about the 94. Mine is a 96 and when I changed it to a 3.636 I found out that mine had a 4.1 gear ratio from the factory.

That makes it even more impressive in my book!

BTW Mike, you should take some classes from Apex!

I only took it to the track once. That was partially tuned @ only 12psi and I ran something like a 13.4@111mph.....slow. Probably making about 275ish whp, later tuned to 300whp. I had trouble finding gears in my car, being the six speed with the short shifter. I would never put a short throw shifter on a six speed again. Not to mention, I was running the 4.3's w/ the six speed when I took it to the track. Gosh, I should have taken it again because I made so many improvements on the car over that first outing. Of course, I had no safety upgrades done, so I wouldn't have been able to do much more.

Oh well, I should be lower then a 9.99 when I get the car running again and things setup right.
