building your own ECU.
i have just turboed my 90 miata, i am having it done by a mazda mechanic who hasmuch experience with this cars. i am fairly mechanical but i wanted this done by an experienced person. i will have the car in my possesion this week. cant wait! he had to order a longer turbo to oil pan hose..took 3 wks to get it. i am going to enjoy driving it like it is till late spring or so. i just got some denso 460cc injectors part #195500-2010 AND planning on an intercooler and a DIY megasquirt..is this hard to build and are there instructions on bldg this ECU? jus wondering if this is a good route for me to go. i have a TDO4 turbo. how much PSI will i get?? i believe i am going to get 4 to 5 with my basic kit

From the sounds of it what you've basically got at present is a Greddy kit... non-intercooled TD04 with bandaids and stock injectors. I wouldn't run that to 12psi unless I really wanted a new engine. AFTER you intercool, put in an MS/wideband and larger injectors, 12psi should be fine. Also, saying "15psi kills engines" is a little misleading. It really depends on which turbo and what the rest of the setup is, as well as how you tune and drive it.
As was said before, if you can solder (or learn to) you can build a megasquirt. If you never push your limits a little, you never learn to do anything new.
