Default Need Help with Begi S4 and Exede

Hi Guys,

Well just got done installing my Begi S4 kit with 550 injectors and Exede. Filled all fluids, checked for leaks, held breath and started car. LOTS of smoke. This thing seems to be running brutally rich, plugs are black as well. It will barely idle and runs very rough. Any thoughts? I am new to this so I could use some ideas on what to look for. Does it sound hardware related or Exede related?

Thanks,
Mike

BTW, anyone know of a good tuner on the MA. area?

BEGi is open... call and ask them.

But until then, have you hooked up a laptop and had a glance through the software to see if there's anything obvious? Does the Xede come with it's base tune for stock injectors? And just to be a total ***, did you read any directions that came with it, or just plug it in and turn the key?

Cars will hold a rich idle. Even at 10:1. It should be smooth to slightly rough. If you have a/c turn it on and see what the AFR goes too. That will give us a better idea of where to start.
